A Nooblets Guide to KaW

  1. It's been a while since I've seen an updated noob guide, so I'm gonna give it a go.

"For the Noobs" - That Guy

Hi, noob! You just joined KaW? Read up then.

STOP! Don't spend any gold. You want to wait until you've been vollied.

    What's a volley?

Well, basically 2 or more players hire you back and forth, for profit, and to get you a little gold.

    How do get a volley?

When a new player joins, a message pops up in world chat saying "Hey, this dude is new! Volley him!" And than a bunch of people spam hire you and then you get all this gold and you don't know what to do.

Don't spend it yet. Wait until your volley had stopped, and then follow these steps:

Most likely all your lands are open, but if not, buy 6 lands (not including your castle). On these 6 lands, you want to build 5 forges, and 1 guild. Level these up all to lvl3 and then see how much gold you have. If you have more than 50 million, I would say repeat it.

Once you have spent down to 50 million, I suggest doing three things

    - Ask for back to back Warbeasts. This epic battle will get you some quick gold.
    - Browse world chat for the noobs that join. Help them out too, and volley them. You'll get a lot of gold this way as well.
    - Hire an ally.... If you can. The noob ally market is very VERY limited. Good luck.

Once you're in a clan and making gold, repeat the 6 lands thing. But forges and guilds. I recommend 20 forges and 4 guilds. Level these buildings up all the way! Don't start buying anything else until all your buildings are as high as they can go.

As you build your kingdom, you'll be able to hit much larger ebs.

Once you reach this point, you want to start buying "Circle of Elements". These will provide nice plunder and help your stats out. The balanced buildings will give you an extra hit on ebs. Replace all your forges with level 1 CoE's and then replace your guilds with Stronghold of Shadow's. Then level them up.

Once you have CoE's on all your lands, you should be able to hit Hauntings with minimal difficulty.

Heres some of the common KaW slang and terminology.

    LL - Low Lands

    HL - High Lands

    HF - Hoarfrost Lands

    TA - The Abyss Lands

LC - Lands complete (all lands unlocked)

BC - Build Complete (All buildings placed and level maxed)

Pots - Potions bought from the marketplace to increase (spy) attack and (spy) defense.

EB - Epic battles. Most of the ebs are commonly abbreviated as well. Take The Sleeping Giant for example: most people say TSG.

    CoE - Circle of Elements

    SoS - Stronghold of Shadow

Tiers - EBs. The level of difficulty of an EB
Buildings. The tier of a building (Forge tier2, CoE tier 4, etc.)

OSW - Off System Wars (clan vs. clan)

EE - Estoc Edge/system wars. Mithril and EE rewards.

Mods - The game moderators, they enfore ToU and RoC in WC, walls, and forums. They're names are a pretty green.

Devs - The game developers, they make KaW possible. Their names are a powerful red.

VK - Valiant Knights. Recognized for being awesome. They're also a sexy blue color.

If you think there's any other slang to be added, reply to the thread. Let me know, I'll edit them in.

That's the slang you need to know as a Nooblet. Once you reach that point in the game you'll understand a bit more, and get more accustomed to the KaW dialect.

Also, and questions you may have should be asked on Dilly's thread. There's some awesome people who are willing to help you out and answer your questions.

Also forums are full of trolls and rood doods, so you may not want to get sucked into that.

If you think there's any other essential parts needed for this guide, let me know and I'll edit it in :)

  2. A bit noobish to create a nooblet guide and not even mention the importance of hiring and keeping allies to max plunder on eb's...

  3. With the ally issue, it's kind of pointless to mention it. It's hard to hire and ally if there aren't any to hire.

  4. Don't know why I quoted. Editing out.

  5. Wouldn't it be newblet, since they're new?
Or am I out of the swing with hip kids and their fancy lingo?

  6. So first you mention volleying of new players then you contradict yourself saying there aren't any to hire?????

If you actually spend a bit of time you can find new accounts to hire. Just by ignoring max plunder how on earth do you expect a newbie to grow in order to buy those circle of elements???? They wont!

Although there is an issue with hiring allies for newbies doesnt mean you ignore it altogether in a Newbie guide! Telling newbies to spend all their volley gold on builds and not saving some for that all important ally is poor advice!

  7. noob
a person who is inexperienced in a particular sphere or activity, especially computing or the use of the Internet.

    new·bie
an inexperienced newcomer to a particular activity.

    choob
1: a high level person, usually on an online rpg such as runescape, that acts immature because they know they will never have to meet the person their dissing. they also tend to diss people that are one lvl below them...
2: a high lvl that acts noobish in ways such as asking for money

  8. Now I know if what is a noob now :p

  9. I think daphnia's guide is much explained actually........ And since she show the newbies all the things about kaw.

And why would you just let them build forges, forges, circle of elementals, what if he/she likes a different build? Yes building forges for a start is fine for earning more but if they are strong or rich enough to build more then it was just up to them if what kind of build they will have..... Just saying because others want to be hansels, ps, towered, attack, and hybrids....

  10. But what if they want a different build but they just follow that guide without knowing any kinds of builds and then when they knew about the builds will they just destroy it all and make their desired build? It's a waste...

When they are strong or rich enough they should know about the kinds of builds...

  11. The building part is so that they make the most, easy gold possible

  12. But what if they are strong enough to stand up for themselves and they would like a different build if they knew it but instead continue in your guide... Well it depends if they would even still follow your guide even though they are no longer a noob.

Ps: sorry for double post. I can't delete the other one though.... Might fix that tomorrow...

  13. Then don't follow the guide

  14. Great start guide. Only small idea I would suggest is only ug guilds to lvl 3. Since these are going to be torn down to put up SOS lvl 1 soon. Lvl 4 guilds gold cost vs stats is not worth it.
