A different idea for the language filter

  1. Hello fellow KaWers. I'm here today with ute another moosey proposal! Yay!

Today's proposal revolves around the new language filter.

I will start by saying I have no problem with the new filter. Honestly, if you can communicate without sounding like a longshoreman, then you probably don't need to communicate at all, and in my opinion, placing stars where swear words were is just a bad idea all around. Stars aren't funny, and everyone knows what the intent behind those stars really is, so, tossing up stars to "hide" swear words is really not effective, and can actually be hostile

Those of you who know me know I like enforcement of rules with a bit of humor. Humor tends to drain hostility from a situation, and, if it doesn't, its still entertaining, and that is honestly why we are all here. We want to be entertained.

With that in mind, I was wondering what you would think of having an "animal noise" filter. Every time you posted a nasty message, all filtered words would be replaced with random animal noises. Hate filled messages would come over walls as
    "Moo you mother quacker"
    "Woof off"
"I'm going to oink you, you stupid baaaaaaa"

Considering how hostile some walls I've had to deal with are, it would turn KaW into a veritable zoo.

I'll place the caveat that this proposal will most likely never fly. That being said, I thought it was a fun idea and I wanted to share it. Would you enjoy your KaW experience more or less if need rage was turned into random animal noises? Can you imagine how walls would read?

Anyhow, that's all for now. Happy KaWing!

  2. Another game I played changed something to "I Love."

    "I Love you"

  3. Although the devs will not do this, we can all still support this idea by replacing our naughty words with animal noises manually.

Another good idea is using Shakespearean insults.

Until some *expletive* mod silences you for somehow breaking ToU using these new methods because they have a stick up their behind.

  4. Lmfao. That's just brilliant

  5. Only support if banana and peel can replace a word.

  6. I am only upset the filter didn't encompass all parts of the game.

Save my Virgin eyes! Remove that cleavage.

  7. What a ribbit idea you useless pile of ee-aw

    Lmao jk

Very funny XD made me chuckle

  8. I find the idea extremely entertaining!

    As such I support Moose.

  9. Now,mtjsts really funny too 

  10. My big thing is that not EVERYONE knows what's behind the asterisks. As a 9+ game, would you honestly expect a nine year olde to understand "[expletive] head?"

If the example provided in the quotation marks are inappropriate, please delete this post, as I don't wish to be silenced. Thank you :)

  11. (Moose noise)

  12. My big thing is why would you quote a short story to say that ...... Your on topic why quote the whole topic ....... Oh and Thank you :) ....

Edit: in the spirit of things moo off

  13. Moose as usual this is another quacking stupid idea.
    I love it.
Or they could just tell people to off

  14. what does the fox sailor say?

  15. 13+. It's baffling how many people don't read ATA's ToU.

  16. There is confusion because there isn't consistency. I just reviewed the iTunes Store, and for apple, this is considered a 9 plus game

  17. I was on a forum where all swear words were replaced with "blam!" E.g. blam! You you blam!ing blam! Blam!

  18. I think most of us can agree Apple is not exactly the smartest.
