I woke up this morning thinking it would be like any other day. Step out of bed, take a shower, brush my teeth, put on clothes, and head for work. The only thing I wasn't prepared for was a Giant Wormhole waiting for me at the foot of my bed! Stepping out of bed I fell into this bright, white, empty void that contortioned my body into liquid jello and spat me out into a place I had never been to nor seen before. "Where am I?" I began to wonder. "What am I doing here?" I began to survey my surroundings and noticed that i was standing directly in from of a small castle made of Tan Limestone rocks, with Orange shingles for a roof, and red flags flying high! I then looked around and noticed that beyond the boundaries of this castle was a dark emptiness that i could not see nor understand. I walked over to the darkness and reached out my hand. "I wouldn't do that if i were you!" A voice from the castle called. Startled I jumped and quickly spun around! "Whose There!?" The castle gates opened up and a tall, muscular, bald man emerged from behind it's doors. "Welcome to Kingdoms At War," he said. "You must be Krixus." I was Shocked! How did this man know who I was? "In order for you to get started you must first explore some empty land in your empire," the man continued. "Look buddy, I don't know how you know my name and I sure as Hell don't know who you are, and I sure as Hell don't know what Kingdom's at War is or where I am. Now how do I get back home because my boss is going to kill me if I'm late for work." The man smiled at me and pointed at the castle. "This is your home now Master Krixus, and I know your name because Everydody in your kingdom knows your name." "My Kingdom!?" I barely got it out of my mouth. I could hardly breath. Placing my hand on my chest I began to gasp for breath. "Calm down sir I'll explain everything. You have been chosen to lead a great Empire! One that will one day topple the great Red-Star himself!" "Red-Star?" I knew not what this man was saying. Who was Red-Star? "Let me show you," he said. "do you have any money?" "No I don't have any money! I just got out of bed! I didn't have time to grab my wallet!" The man pointed to my side, "Then what's that on your belt there?" Stunned i finally took a look at myself. I realized that something was different. First, I was wearing armor! Where did that come from? Secondly, I was 6inches taller and much more muscular than I was back home. Thirdly, I was wearing a belt that was adorned with two things, a beastly sword, and a sack full of gold coins. "How is this possible?" I asked as I began to count the coins. "Where did this come from?" "How much gold do you possess?" The man asked again. Quickly I began to count the coins in the bag, and after a long and tedious count I came out with 27,000 gold coins. "That is good," said the man. "Your first land will cost you 1,000 gold. Here, give it to me." I gave the man 1,000 gold coins and he threw them at one of the dark voids. Instantly the void Lit up and was bright so that I could see that there was a piece of land there with nothing on it. "Ok? What do I do with that? It's just an empty lot?" "Now we build your empire sir," he said. "You must choose what we build." He handed me a scroll with 3 blueprints for 3 different buildings. A workshop, a barracks, or Stables. "Uhm... I dunno man, what's the difference between them?" "You should build what you feel would serve you best my lord. Either you wish to battle and desire workshops for artillery to blast our enemies, or you wish for barracks to train troops to defend your home from invaders, or if you wish to do both then stables for horseman who are equal in strength as they are in keeping your kingdom safe." I scratched my head and thought about this for a minute. Attack? Who would I attack? And in this darkness who would even think about attacking me?? "Uhm... Let's go with horses." "I believe sir that the remainder of your 25,000 gold is required for the stables to be built sir." Reluctantly i handed the rest of my gold to the man and he threw the blueprints for the stables and the 25,000 gold to the center of the empty lot. BOOM!!! Out of nowhere 500 horses and Riders appeared along with a brand new Stable. "Good work your majesty, that's enough for today. Tomorrow I shall teach you about quests!" The man waved his hand at the castle gates. As they opened I took one last look at my new stables before i entered my new kingdom. I still had no idea where I was or what I was doing there, but I did know that these people had dubbed me their king. For now, that would have to do.
Tell me more. What does he do next. Can't wait until you go back to work, so you have more time to write #2.
