A Brief Guide for Returning Players

  1. Good day all! I know that forums aren’t as popular as they once were, but I wanted to share some things I discovered to help with growth as I returned from a long break from the game. Please feel free to share any additional tips or information.

I love KaW, and I am sure many of you do as well, and I think making sure returning players stick around would be the most beneficial strategy to making sure we can stick around on this game we are addicted to for another 15 years XD

1st and foremost, you are a returning player. You used to be a LB account 5 or 6 years ago? Not anymore, sorry pal. Stats have scaled in a way that probably seems extremely overwhelming.

Don’t worry. Even players who have stuck around feel the same way. Thankfully, you can grow to be a really respectably sized account relatively easily.

I am going to break this down based on different categories of where you are as a returning player.

1.) Returning player with up to FS lands discovered

If you have up to FS lands, you were around when legends started, you will need to try and get 60k event items every event. 100k is great for future development, but we are going to focus on FS(fatesands) for the best growth rate early on.

You’ll need to make sure you try and complete the 60k and the hard “challenge” that you get during Legends. Both are relatively attainable, but may be challenging at the start.

Keep in mind, this is going to be more of a snowball to avalanche type of thing rather than a full on sprint. Unless you’re willing to spend a lot of cash for premium eb trains, to do this F2P, it’s going to require some patience, but you’ll get there.

Now, legends give around a FREE 6Q per event, just based on building crestplates. Now, you may be unfamiliar, but here is the method. (side note: if you have less than 24 FS lands built at level 8, follow the alternate method)

If you hit 60k and do the hard challenge, you will have a total of 1300 FS plates.

    Main Method:

It’s 199 plates to reach level 8, which is as far as we will go for this.

You drop/build a level 8 FS building. Drop the level 8, you’ll receive around 930t. Rebuild the building to level 8, drop again. You will do this process 6 times total (1300/199=6.5) because you’ll want to make sure you leave the building at level 8 to not lose the stats.

Once you have done this, congrats, enjoy your free gold!

I would recommend investing it into Pal lands. Use gold only for lands and eventually, for the first few levels of TT(time tangled) buildings.

Do not waste your gold on allies yet. Just buy up to max plunder, and use the rest of your gold on getting those stats up!

    Alternate method:

This is the assumption that while you have some FS lands unlocked with most or all of your FS buildings being below level 8.

If this is the case, use tokens to get your existing FS buildings to level 8 before starting the main method.

    EXAMPLE:

Let’s say you have 7 FS lands unlocked, all with FS buildings at let’s say levels 1-5. Get all 7 to level 8.

Once you have all of your already existing FS lands and buildings maxed. Do the following.

Drop/build a level 8, use the gold to buy another FS land. Build to level 8. Drop/build again.

You’ll have to use twice as many plates, but you’ll gain the stats so it’s a fair trade off until you can afford to use FS plates solely for gold.

2.) Returning players below FS lands

This one may be a bit more challenging depending on your size. If you are at least Abyss LCBC you should be fine to hit GOTH and NOTH, although, it may be a bit slow.

In any case, anyone below 1bcs should prioritize stat growth over anything. Hit what ebs you can as often as you can, and use all of your gold on land and buildings. The objective is to unlock FS ASAP.

Just unlock enough lands on all of the prerequisite lands to go to the next set. Once you get to FS, things become much easier and growth will be much more efficient, and you can work on the lands you missed on the backend. (Ex: Say you spent 5.5Q on FS/PAL, use the remainder to unlock and build on the cheaper/lower stat lands to LCBC then over time)

I know it isn’t MUCH advice for those under FS lands, but that’s really all it takes. Just stay at Max Plunder and continue to unlock the lands needed to move to the next set. Once you reach FS, refer to part 1.

Hopefully this helps the few of you that may read it upon your return. If you ever have any questions or need anything, feel free to wall me and I will gladly do what I can to help get you to a more average CS level. I’m no t100, and I am sure others have much better advice for the “late game” but hopefully this will help you from feeling extremely overwhelmed.

    Cheers all!
