  1. Well, it finally happened. It took 5 weeks and over 1k of guesses, but someone finally hit the mark on the head. Not only does our lucky winner get 50 xtals, he also gets a phone call from Peyton manning himself!

Er mah gawd! You wionn50 xtals dude! I'm so impressed! Do you mind if I join Wrath_of_God for a week or two? I promise I won't leak next war. I got KOed last week because I was busy breaking a bunch if records during my perfect NFL season, but I won't let that stop me this time around.

So, who won??? His name is Wr0nGSld30fH3av3N, and be hit this context right out of the park. Here was his very well thought out pre game analysis.

I'm happy about this for a few reasons.

    1. That post wasn't just a shot in the dark. It was thoughtful and insightful.

    2. Peyton manning keeps his winning streak alive for another week. (Watch out for Green Bay.)

    3. The trollish part of me like the fact you were viewing the game on DVR and had forum wreck the ending for you by walling you congrats (You got 50 xtals so deal with it)

    4. I like the timing of your win. Your xtal reward coincides very nicely with ATAs mega pay out EB. If you have any old crux chests laying around you can join a clan that's running the promo, and xtal blast your way into some really nice upgrades...... Or you can just farm the ever living crap out of your friends.

    5. You were the only person to guess correctly, so, you don't have to share your xtals with anyone. YAY!

Anyhow, you win and it's all good. As for me, I'm now going to have to stay up all night refining unicorn poop so I can make your batch of xtals. (Yea. Being a mod isn't always fun and games)

Since you won, you may select next weeks game. Forum can feel free to either drop suggestions ALONG WITH A REASON for which game our winner should select. Either place your reasons on this thread or drop them on his wall. . Since you walked off with the entire pot of xtals, we will be starting over, so next week we will be playing for (sigh) 10 xtals.

Now, I've run enough of these games to know that when someone hits the prize, complaints come, so, I will now address the most common complaints before you even raise them.

    1. The NFL score picking contest is unfair because it gives Americans an edge.
Not true. I'm Canadian and I follow the NFL, do you can too! If you have no desire to learn about a foreign sport, it's not a problem. I've done the heavy lifting for you! You get both my very dubious analysis, AND you get the analysis of actual Vegas professionals. If that's not enough, Google is the great equalizer. Just 5 min if googling can offer you very good insight into these games, so you really have no excuse.

    2. Moose needs to run a game with international appeal.
American football works the best for this contest because the score increases by combinations of 1,2,3 and 6 points, which makes guessing the proper score nearly impossible. You don't get this type if difficulty with soccer or rugby (which DOES admittedly have a larger international fan base.)

    3. I don't like the NFL
That's fine. You don't have to. No matter which sport I pick someone will always grumble, so I have picked a sport that that I personally enjoy. I can't please all of you, but odds are, if I enjoy running my contest, you'll enjoy it too, and if you don't, it's no big deal. You don't have to play.

    4. its not fair that the pot gets reset. We all should have another shot at 5o xtals
Sorry guys/gals. You all DID have a shot, and you might again. Anyhow, even if you don't, 10 xtals is way better than zero xtals, so be happy with the chance to win free stuff!

Anyhow, now that I've gotten that out of the way, let's all congratulate our lucky winner!

Good luck next week as we play again for (sigh} 10 xtals.

  2. On a slightly different note, Peyton manning is worth over 100 million dollars. You'd think he could spring for an iPhone.......

  3. Does he use an android? 

  4. Congrats on winning the football pool :) guessing scores for broncos games is never easy. Nice job!

  5. He's still using a land line! Look at that phone. It's as big as a toaster! And it even has a cord!

  6. A phone with a cord?!? I've only seen those in history books.

  7. That's his car phone. Keeps the Lambo on the sidelines. Behind the portapotty.

  8. That's actually fitting, considering manning will end up in a lot of history books too 

  9. Congrats @ the winner. That's really awesome for them.

  10. Wonder if Peyton could war on that phone.....

  11. Congratulations

  14. Ahahahhahahaha

Your welcome for scanning through the post to find it moose

  15. Yea. Thanks so much for helping me out with that. I was working late and really appreciated the help. Your assistance allowed me to get my thread up much sooner than I would have been able to on my own

  16. Lmao that phone though 

  17. *facepalm* with Rugby you have an even higher lever of difficulty as you have points in 3's, 5's and 7's. With scores going uber mega high in some games (record is something like 117-0 in an INTERNATIONAL game) it is even harder to guess a Rugby score, especially with England playing, they're more inconsistent than my grandma's homemade gravy.

  18. We need one of these for hockey. A guy like me could really use some xtals

  19. Thanks Moose for the awesome thread! My dad passed a little over a year ago. Been a lonely season thus far watching the Bronco games without him. I honestly beleive this was a gift given from him letting me know he'll always be there maybe not in body but in spirit.

  20. In the end the Broncos r going nowhere with Peyton on such an obvious decline. That said the hype machine will ignore it all n shove old stats at us til he retires.
