1 Chapter of Book, Title undecided

I would love feedback!!! I know it's not the best but any comments to make it better would be fabulous!!!! Thanks!!!



Chapter 1:

As my eyes fluttered open to the sound of gunshots, I realized my bunk mate was yelling at me like a mad women. I couldn't hear anything she was saying, though it looked like she was screaming at the top of her lungs. Her name was Ukisama, well that was her code name anyways. No one here in KOTFE used their real names, mostly because we all wanted to forget the lives we had before this happened. Neither did we want to remember the family that most of us had before.
I was starring at the top bunk when this happened, Uki (as I call her for short) then started hitting me. I immeadietly knew I needed to get up. I quickly reached under my bed and grabbed my jacket and my gun. I ran out the door with Uki right behind me as I was putting my jacket on. We had gotten about ten steps away from our. 'House' as we like to call them, when it exploded. Creating a huge force, throwing me and Uki quickly through the air, Uki landing on the hard and cold ground. I landing in a tree and getting stuck. There was many gun shots fired after that and many other explosions, but they finally stopped with the aliens retreating. Greenie, Death, Cyrus, Jay, Maz, and Uki eventually all came over to the tree. Then Maz yelled up at me, "Summer? When are you coming down?", "I don't know Maz, why don't you ask gravity?", I tried being as sarcastic as possible in my reply but not many people laugh in tense moments like this. Maz began to open his mouth to say something else, but I had shifted slightly and fell to the ground with a hard and loud thud. Cyrus started laughing as Death went to help me up. Just then Shock walked up wondering what was going on. Then he saw all the broken branches from the tree leading to me and burst out laughing as well. When I had finally regained my footing on the ground, I worked on getting all of the sticks and leaves out of my clothes and hair. Greenie had gone and went to get ice and had just returned handing it to me. She then said, "Dont get any blood on it!" I just ignored her and put it on the place that hurt the most. "Greenie, yet again, I make no promises on blood..." I then felt blood drip down onto my chest and go down my shirt. Shock and Cyrus had watched it drip down as Shock said,"You want me to help you reach down there later Rose?" then he burst out laughing with Cyrus again. I then, as casually as possible with a slight limp, walked over to Shock. "You would be lucky to get that privilage you idiot." Then I slapped him. He knew he deserved it, and so did everyone else. I then walked away to the health tent to get some help with the huge gash in my side that had just started to sting with pain.
When I got there Kacie was helping with someone else, I waited for a bit to get in until I couldn't bear the pain of standing anymore. Then went in, Kacie took one look at me and told me to get some antiseptic and sit down. It only took a matter of seconds for her to get the other patient out and begin tending to me. She then proceeded to ask me,"Don't you ever get tired of getting hurt?" I just looked at Kacie and she knew to not say anything else on the subject.
After I was done getting stitched up by Kacie, I headed over to the armory to get a new gun and some more clips. As soon as I walked in Cyrus was there and knew exactly what I wanted and needed. I came up to the table where all the ammo and the gun I wanted was and in about five seconds I had a gun and three clips in my hands. As i was heading out the door I said thank you to Cyrus and loaded my gun. Just as I hit the door Shock stopped me and cornered me. Feeling this was gonna be bad I said,"What do you want Shock!?" He looked pretty irritated with my response and backed off. But right before walking away, he hit my giant gash on the side of my right leg. Causing me extreme pain, making my eyes tear up, just wanting to collapse on the ground screaming. Shock grinned evilly and walked away looking content and very happy with himself. I eventually cooled down a bit and limped to meet with Death, Uki, Kacie, and Greenie to arrange a new place for us to stay. As I walked up I saw Greenie and Kacie arguing about what to do next as Death stood in between them. With the expression on his face you would think he was there husband dreading another cat fight. I was enjoying watching them fight when Xevu showed up and everyone went quiet. The silence was tense, as the bullets from people practicing pierced it. It seemed to go on forever, until Death called the meeting to order.
After the meeting we all figured out three other 'houses' had been totally obliterated. Then we all split up into teams, team A would go through the abandoned stores in town and find all of the items we lost. Team B would go start building two new 'houses' for the people who had lost theirs. But Team C would go the aliens base and bomb it, as Xevu and Death put it 'kill everything in sight and beat the sh*t out of them'. I eventually ended up on team C which I was absolutely ecstatic about! Me and Cyrus were the ones who were picked to place the C-4 in the inside of the alien buildings. As soon as we had everything we left. For me to stay undetected I pretty much had to be a ninja, running when I had to, climbing the side of a wall to avoid an alien. Things like that. By the time I got back from placing everything Cyrus already had everything set up. He knew I was pissed that he was way better than me. But, what am I supposed to do? We thought it would be fun to let Jay do the honors of blowing it up. Jay pushed the lever back and three seconds afterwards we had giant fireworks right in front of us. It was a rush for all of us. We saw aliens starting to run towards us and had to stop watching to shoot them, but it was still quite a mesmerizing experience.
We did head back soon than expected and saw that the houses were already done. But even though team A left way before us and didn't have to do hardly as much as us only half of them had returned. Me and Jay wanted to go there and try to find the rest but Greenie started yelling her full head off explaining that she was here to protect us and wasn't about to let us 'little punks' out there on our own. Jay and I eventually headed back the the new houses trying to avoid anything further with Greenie. Even though it was against permission and we knew we would get our heads bitten off when we came back, we gathered up our stuff and headed out immediately. Our friends were out here, we could just leave them in they were in trouble.


Two things! After reading this I hoped you liked it for one.... And the other is that I have not decided on a title for the book... But with your help I hope to have a title for it soon thanks for reading!
