I would like to offer a public apology to Chaos about how badly I trolled his ASW petition thread. I had a change of heart because many of the problems with the 2012 ASW were fixed this time around. 2012 was a turtle and whine fest that grinded on for two days. Players whined about having to turtle, about being stripped, and about being kicked by the randomly- picked admins. It left a bad taste in my mouth and I was happy the event was scrapped in 2013 in favor of EE. However this time the devs brought out improvements. No more kick-happy admins bragging about their Zaft connections, no sitting around pinning clan members, I even stripped a guy in the last war and he didn't say a thing about it. All in all, it was a good time and thanks to Chaos I am now a two-time ASW champ. However there is the problem of timezone differences and the inactivity that results with it. I know the devs got to cater to their main North American clientele, but I think they could still get a good Asian presence if they just change the time from 6 to 4 hour wars. Let me explain. The first war was no problem, but the second war started here in Japan at 2am Sunday and ended at 8am. This was followed for me by a full workday (hey I'm Japanese. We're always working) and then the third war started at 10pm and ended at 4 am. Two and a half hours later I had to wake up for Monday morning work. All in all, I was up for 30 hours straight. Totally brutal However this could have been dramatically improved by a shorter war. A war ending at 6 and not 8 would give me at least an hour sleep. Likewise I could have slept well if war 3 ended at 2 instead of 4. So my suggestion for 2015 is to shorten from six hours to four to improve participation. Also thank you once again chaos for bringing on a good, improved event. I owe you one, buddy. Let me make it up to you by not beating you so badly when I become a three time champ next year ️Frog out
