Writer's duel (2) Welcome. This is an idea of mine that I tried out a while ago, but, unfortunately, it didn't work out. This time I had hoped to make it more casual. In the old writer's duel, I had a strict number of scenery writers, judges, and writers and it turned into chaos. -What is Writer's Duel? In Writer's Duel, fan fiction authors challenge each other and they brawl it out here. First, whoever that wants to make the scenery writes it out and then the other player gets to do whatever he or she wants to it (that's not too much). Then the writers make a character. They can't be gods or be invincible or anything like that but they can be pretty much anything other than that, so be creative. Then, for 3 rounds, they make their characters fight. They won't be doing anything fatal since the whole point of this is for DESCRIPTIVE writing. After the rounds are finished any available forumers will rate each author. The ratings go from 1 to 100 and the person with the highest rating wins. -Rules: •Scenery: the writers will have a maximum of 10 and a minimum of 5 lines to create/manipulate the scenery. The writer who is editing the scenery after the first person makes it IS allowed to keep it the way it is •Characters: Maximum of 10 and a minimum of 7 lines. Can't be godly or invincible. •Battling: 3 rounds. A maximum of 6 and a minimum of 3 lines is allowed. No fatal wounding and/or killing the other writer's character. •Judging: rating go from 1 to 100 NOTE: you are rating on how descriptive and how well that they wrote, not how much damage they do I hope you guys have fun with this. I may be around to do a couple of duels with you guys but don't expect anything. Go out and challenge your friends! Good luck!
Scene-we r set at an island, on this island we have no food, water or clothes. Our boat has crashed into a rock and we are stuck, there is just one coconut tree, we must fight to ser who gets to have the coconuts,BEGIN.
Here are a few examples SCENERY: The stars shined brightly onto the cold earth. Tall pine trees sprouted from the cold ground and the moonlight shone her beautiful light upon them. A small clearing gapped between the trees allowing the deer of the night to graze on the lushous grass that filled the field. Smoke could be smelled in the air, so, alarmed, the deer sprinted off in the opposite direction.
SCENERY EDITORIAL: The light from the moon turned sickly orange and the grass began to decay. Pale smog filled the field, catching some of the laggard deer in their wake. They staggered and fell to the dirt as the mist enveloped them. Water dripped from the sky, sizzling the grass where it landed. More poured down and melted away what was left of the grass, leaving a barren field.
CHARACTER CREATION The ground rumbled and tree branches cracked. Suddenly, a torrent of fire blasted away a wall of trees revealing a figure engulfed in flame. It shuffled into the clearing and rose to it's full height. A horned helmet hid the face of the figure and a spiked plate of armor protected it's torso. It's arms and legs were made of ashen fire, protected by several pieces of metal.
BATTLE The flaming creature summoned a wall of flames to blast away the attack. It then created a small wisp of flame and slowly added on to it until it was a raging fireball. The fire-being then launched it at it's target, causing it to erupt into flames.
My giant tormented water demon then arrived, he saw the deer scatter, some of there tales on fire, this irritated him so he summoned a mighty water dragon and put the firey demon in his place.
Games, I wasn't dueling with you. I was just posting examples for others to see. I can't duel you right now. Sorry for the misunderstanding
