I have seen many strategy guides, but rarely have I seen a decent beginner guide for spies, so I will try to make one. Unfortunately, I'm not very adept at coding so my guides won't be as flashy as Benny's guides. Benefits of a spy build: 1. You can bypass most kingdoms which have extremely high attack and defense but no spy stats. 2. Rarely will people spy on you. This means that you know the people who are attacking you, and you can retaliate more easily. 3. Spy builds are usually overpriced. This can net you some gold early on. 4. VICTIMS DO NOT SEE YOU Disadvantages of a spy build: 1. No plunder bonus. That takes out one of the biggest uses of allies. 2. Gold comes much more slowly than attack builds. See above reason. 3. It's harder to pin players. 4. Spy builds are usually overpriced. As you may have noticed, this is also in the benefits. This can also be a drawback because you might not be volleyed later on when you need gold. Pure spies are spies that only have spy attack and spy defense stats. Advantages of pure spies: 1. Maximizes gold recieved from steals 2. You can become an OSF 3. Pure spies are one of the most valued allies among KaW Disadvantages of pure spies: 1. No defense means YOU MUST BANK ALL YOUR CASH 2. Many players will attack you until you are out of gold, buy your allies so you have gold again, and attack you. They can repeat this process until you are out of money. Misconceptions of pure spies: When you attack a pure spies, sometimes it says that they are "too weak". People assume that because pure spies have no defense, they are always too weak so they don't need to bank their cash because they will never get attacked. This is called the "too weak exploit", and it is true to a certain extent. When a pure spy goes from 0 gold to 1 or more gold, they will be "too weak" for a certain amount of time. This can last from 0-15 minutes. This is NOT AN ADVANTAGE as it is not dependable. It is merely a glitch. Here is the reccomended build: 1. Buy your land and build a guild 2. Buy a second land and build a guild on that one. Then, upgrade one of the guilds to level two. Now go to the battle button and steal from anyone with a large reward and 150 or less spy defense. NEVER STEAL WITH UNDER 50% SPIES. 3. Keep buying lands and building guilds until lvl 2 guilds cost less than your next land. Proceed to upgrade all of your lvl 1 guilds to lvl 2. 4. When you reach 60 mil land, upgrade all level 2 guilds to level 3. 5. Clear all the lands and build level three guilds on all of them. You should end up with 129,600 in each spy stat. Consider becoming an OSF or an Open Spy Farm (or Open Secret Farm, not sure). Definition: an OSF is a player who has no attack or defense and allows players to hit him/her five times a day for gold. Contact Kool-Aid to join or go to viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3829 Also new for pure spies, the NUF, or the Nightly Unlimited Farm, is a group of pure spies who lay out cash at certain periods of time and are farmed until they're out of money. See super-ghost to join or go to viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3861 Defensive spies are spies who build towers to boost their defense. Advantages: 1. High defense means no banking Disadvantages: 1. Towers take away gold per steal 2. You can't become an OSF. The reccomended build is similar to the pure spy build. Get however many defensive towers you want and build guilds on the rest. Then, when your lands cost more than it costs to upgrade your towers to level 3, upgrade them. Your stats should look something like: defense, a multiple of 32400; both spy stats, 129,600 minus [the multiple of 32400] x 5400. The Hansel build is named after the superawesomeproplayerwhodoesn'tknowmebuthe'sstillsuperawesomeandIwannabelikehim player. His strategy is to buy extremely expensive allies to maximize his plunder. Then, he buys an attack building and attacks players to gain maximum cash. Credits go to tz for explaining this to me because Hansel ignored me . Same build as a pure spy. At the end, instead of getting a level 3 guild, get any attack tower. Your stats should look like: attack/defense, the amount the tower you chose gets; both spy stats, 124400. You MUST buy extremely expensive allies. TZ reccomends a level 3 forge, and he's frickin awesome so listen to him or I'll slap you. To contact Hansel, write on his wall and he won't respond. Furthermore, he will slap me because I told people to post on his wall. The whatIthoughtwasHansel'sbuild build. Because Hansel didn't answer, ScarletShadow told me what she thought was his build, but she was wrong. PWNT. Still, it's pretty clever and follows the same path as Hansel's build. Basically, use the attack building built in the end of Hansel's build to quest for nobility points and crystals. Same build as Hansel's. Expensive allies are not needed. Remember, higher level towers have a better success rate. Also, very difficult quests cannot be completed when you have under 50% spies. Credits go to ScarletShadow and TZ. To contact ScarletShadow, go write on her wall and she will respond if you're cool enough. To contact TZ the great, go to viewtopic.php?f=5&t=787 Well, this is my guide for newcomers who want to be spy builds. Pros peobably already know this crap. This guide probably did not help anyone at all. However, please don't post "boobies " on here just because I made this thread. Boobies
iThink this is... AWESOMENESS! I never imagined Blumpy could make this...*Recalls all of Blumpy's other posts* Yeah, this dude is amazing at guides. This probably took a month. Good work, it's awesomeness manifested in the thread form. I bestow the "i" to Blumpy! He is now iBlumpy!!!!! Awesome work! iZALN
