Upcoming Updates to Buildings, Crestplates and Gold

  1. I fail to understand what problem you have solved by removing gold from building drops. People who are on the leaderboard, Do not rely on dropping buildings for gold, instead on promos and hitting prems. This is a thing which helped smaller/mid tanks catch up by active gameplay and hopping for plates to drop later. This was something which gave you the same amount of gold regardless of your size, everyone will get 930t from dropping an fs, or 11q for dropping a pal. Taking that away means, one will have to xtal on a prem or a promo everytime they want to open any land when land costs are over 20q. This means, you're forced to xtal on a eb where you know you'll make like 1/10th of someone who is build complete.

    This doesn't address the gap between bigs and smalls, and as each promo passes by, The difference will keep on getting bigger. Smalls may be able to put a level 10 pal as soon as they open a land, but they'll take that much longer to open lands now, So it doesn't help smalls at all.

    If this continues, I can see EE being just a mere 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2 based on a few top 20 albs casting which it already is to an extent.

    You all created this imbalance by doing a 100% promo along with a 300% crux, and then another 100% promo a month later, This change doesn't do anything to solve that. This only makes f2p gameplay harder. If you're just going to give back the gold in bars vs the crestplates earlier, then how does it resolve the problem of gold farming through a bunch of automated alts? They'll just unbank gold bars (which is more convenient) and do the same anyways?

    Buffing plate drops is great, Small/mids will be able to get to level 10 buildings quicker on existing open lands, it will stall as soon as they have to open a new land. And as bob mentioned, Buffing plunder on goth/noth which 85% of the community hits does is not comparable to buffing the plunder on HTR/NKs which only 15% have access to. From an EE perspective, Mids/smalls will rely on the 8-9q from gold bars while a few lcbc accounts can add 1000q+ easily every big promo.

    It's going to be really hard for someone returning to the game to build an account from scratch.



    Build swapping is a good idea, This is something that will be very useful for small/mid tanks, as they are heavily towered which kills their chance to make any significant gold on promo's. At least, this will help them compete better on promo's

  2. One note the "Exception: low land & highlands" should this not also cover hoarfrost? Reason being if someone accidentally upgraded there lvl 1 troop build to lvl 2 they are perminantly stuck without access to glitchtroop? Same with spies.

    This will also effect war as tanks commonly need to remove GT before they war but it looks like they wont be able to?

    Selling down / rebuilding lvl8 FS buildings was the main way I've been generating a meaningful amount of gold / able to upgrade for the past couple of years.

    Maybe one final reset / land grab...

  4. Same. 30bcs here. Selling FS buildings is my main way of getting enough gold to spend on pl/tt/sk and even good allies. What i’m getting from non-premium ebs is peanuts compared to selling fs buildings. Seems like they want everyone to just do premium ebs now to get lots of gold. I’ll probably see how much gold we can get for the full event cycle after march 4. If it’s not close to the previous selling method, i’ll just delete this game forever.

  5. So you are cutting off one of the most effective growth strategies for new players - another indication of dev having no interest in future growth of the game . It’s also making it very hard for osw clans to grow thier kingdoms and fund strips . So you hasten the death of the game making growth and osw harder .

    Just sold all my DM, FS, Pal and TT buildings. Raised 277Q.

    Purchased 15 lands for the same 277Q.

    Build CS dropped from roughly 40M to 5.5M (sorry owner 😆) Was ranked about #1420 strongest.

    I now have 20 Pal lands, 19 TT and 19 SKI lands. Next ones cost me 18Q, 27Q and 42Q respectively. Assuming my normal gold production rate, this would take me between 9 - 21 mos apiece to earn one additional land. 😳 not sure I'll ever buy another piece of real estate.

    I'll post the actual lands costs on the main land / building cost thread.

    Bring on the new enhanced plate drops and higher gold %, as I need it!!! 😁 (my guess is I'll be back to where I was a year from now using plates)
     
  9. So if someone who is lets say he PP building done & dont wanna convert build etc what does it help him with extra plate drop? It is already no use for that person becuse he cant use any of that becuse he is already BC on PP

    much land as you can buy, then just sit and wait for all those crestplate drops
     
  11. People forget the easiest way to build gold in this game is through Allies being hired and the profit you make on that, I’m a heavy premium-epic battle type player and regardless of that Allie hires earn me the most gold by far

As someone who used to spend quite a bit of real money on KAW, especially back in the OSF days and is also WILLING to spend money on it today but doesn’t…i find it odd that the majority of the updates they make on this game make me less interested in spending money on it rather than more interested. I basically still play out of habit at this point.

    Devs made the difference between the gold you get on an EB like Noth or Goth so low compared to land cost that the only shot you had was selling buildings or spending MASS amounts of money on premium EB’s. Upgrading without premium EB’s takes so long that I feel like spending $20 here and there would be a complete waste of money. Kind of like peeing in a lake. So i don’t.

    Taking away the ability to sell buildings means not having a great way to save for lands and adding 50% payout or some gold bars doesn't seem like it will touch what we get from selling fates and pal buildings. Gold payouts would need to increase 1000% not 50%.

    I do agree with the need for changes just never seem to understand the logic behind the changes they make. My guess is they chase trying to get the whales to spend an extra hundred rather than trying to get hundreds of us spending an extra $20. I saw someone say there aren’t many new players joining. Its probably because the actual game experience isnt great so current players arent exactly out recruiting.

    I may just be being cynical but im struggling with the logic behind the changes and it seems like rather than getting me back to throwing $20 at the game on a regular basis it may be the last nail in the coffin for me playing. I guess time will tell.
     
  17. People seem to have a misunderstanding here. The expected rewards per event looks to be in the 8q range. That's currently more than FS drops.
    For a player that doesn't hop for plates, there will be almost no change. A player sat in clan for 100k rewards, isn't getting a pal drop every 2 weeks.
    A lot of people are overthinking things.
     
  18. Say FS is 25 level 10 SDT & I have no plans to change them. What are plates useful for other than accumulate in my inventory like excess inferno?
     
  19. So, the build complete players, who’ve fully taken advantage of plate drop for gold over the years, now BC, have an complete unfair advantage at this point.

    How is anyone supposed to open new lands now?
    Last Pal land is $42 Q for example.
    Many of the lands are so unreasonably priced, it’s impossible to open without players over the years taking advantage of Pal or Fates drops for years.

    I understand what you’re trying to accomplish here, but this is not the solution.
    I’ve given ATA so many ideas on how to change this loophole you’re trying to fix, but this won’t work.
    Better solution would be:
    First, make Plate hopping end, by a 95% greater chance of getting plate drops, only if you hit the first 1 or 2 stages of an EB.
    Second, when you drop a Fates or Pal building for example you get “Build Tokens”, which can be used for building, opening any land, regardless of the land you’re opening.
    No gold dropped. No. Just tokens.
    Players can continue to grow, use golf to open other expensive lands or upgrade buildings using these tokens.
    But to just completely Nerf all of the advantages larger players have fully taken advantage of over the years for growth, flat out kills it for other players.

    Those commenting saying this is a good update, obviously aren’t thinking this through.
