Upcoming Updates to Buildings, Crestplates and Gold

  1. So if I understand this correctly those who war will have to bank gold & not buy new lands so readily. Banking in bfa will always happen but it’s a waste banking in bars to save for new lands.

This only makes warring less attractive & eb’s further more lopsided for the tap tap only players.

With no indication of war tourneys coming why would ppl be excited to war or more new people start building for warring?

lastly the newest lands are gold only to upgrade & a further drag to grow.

  2. The bulk of your event gold is being shifted from fs plates to gold bars. You may have slightly more gold out between wars from ebs, but thats not where the land gold will really be coming from, so as far as I understand it shouldn't impact too much. You wont necessarily be banking in bars (apart from minimal eb plunder) as just getting bars as rewards.

  3. this makes it really difficult to save for new lands! we could safely store them in a building and now we have to sit there with cash! Or go through the mindnumbing alley buying! And then drop them and take a loss in order to stay safe From the farmers!
    Worst Update yet!

  4. This is a huge point. Well written and observed. This also kills the point of EB hopping for a lot of people. It kills alt farms. Sort of. And increases growth value in land sets from TT to PAL for people stuck in the midrange. More plates for smaller accounts means quicker growth.

  5. I can clarify a few things mentioned:
-We are looking at rewards earned from 2 week event cycles, you should see the gold value of crestplates matched if not increased overall from rewards, on top of more crestplates being given out

-Agreed that the value of gold/crestplates from EBs are the tricker thing to gauge as it will depend on what EBs people are doing and how hard they are going on them. We will be monitoring this to see how the update lands.

-Getting early game players to the point where they can use silver bars is a barrier we know exists, we might look into removing the restriction, or unlocking the first layer or two of lands (but to be fair we have a lot less new accounts these days)

Jace on discord. New rewards will be more gold/event than current plate dropping. You will still be able to stock the gold bars to buy lands.

  6. For the lands we are lcbc, what are we supposed to do with the extra plates after the update? Just let them build up?

  7. Yeah...not a fan at all
Don't think this will do anything for anyone big or small
Probably will make it easier for a noob to get to like 1bcs but still gonna hit a brick wall at some point
The really bigs guys all spent a lot of cash to get there so nothing gonna change there

Wouldn't be a bad idea to make land purchases with plates tho I think

Even better how about putting system war tax back where it was or eliminate it all together
If you really wanna see clans fight it out...war tax would make it worthwhile

  8. Charms furniture and trading still probably worse.

  9. Just revert back to the original game

    DanglyDan and Softspot_Tribute like this.
  10. I did miss this but still not convinced as there’s no example provided.

  11. Numbers mentioned by Jace in discord were 8-9q/event from the reward bars, not counting the plunder/plate increases or eb bar drops. Cautiously optimistic after some clarifications. Mentioned removing the bar restrictions for new accounts as well.

  12. The announcement definitely could have been communicated a bit better in some ways but it is looking rather promising after the clarifications 🤣

  13. What happens to crests after you bc on that land. Is it possible to sell plates for something?

  14. It’s now a problem because they’ve realized they’re not making money off the plate conversation system, and they need to adjust their business model. (Probably even have a prem eb ready to roll out shortly after update goes live in March. 🤣)
Will this update be alright? Time will tell. But player experience hasn’t been dev top priority for a long time, as much as padding their bottom line, so it’s no wonder many are immediately on their back foot when devs start spinning tales about updates that are “for the good of all kaWmmunity”. 🙄

  15. What will happen to traders tokens? Will they still be converted to plates?

  16. Can’t say I see this making land purchases easier. Even as a15 yr player that is not hyper active nor a bot but take part in ebs each day .. selling off lands and using crestplates to rebuild has allowed me to explore your two new lands … without that would probably still be slugging my way through to finish fatesands and Pallums. Ideally the land costs come down .. if you are willing to only have allies that allow you to reach max plunder you may be able to buy most lands from earned gold (theoretically) … as it sits now unless you spend big $ a month (not saying I don’t spend on crystals) it is inconceivable that I will ever bc all lands even playing daily.

  17. Can I have the stats/numbers of players who quit after Updates?

    thnx

    Aunty

  18. Yay time to collect and hold onto even more plates as they become useless.

  19. Thank you devs 👍🏻
We were wasting too much of our precious time on Kaw. We haven’t been able to quit after 16 yrs, but you’re making it much easier now

  20. Question so if you drop buildings. Will you need the same about of plates to rebuild?. I might as well destroy all my buildings and wait for the new update if that’s the case.
