IDEA: Bring back the war system

Hello Developers and fellow players. I want to submit an idea that I think could gain a lot of traction and would be a healthy change to the game if implemented correctly.


System wars. Many people here played during the days of pwars, many didn’t as well. The devs found that pwars weren’t healthy for the game somewhere along there and decided to implement EBs. We have been hitting EBs for longer than we haven’t been. I think it’s time we go back to the roots of KaW.


I have the idea to rework system wars slightly and then re-enable gold rewards. This would be a good source of gold in KaW and could maybe put the progression back to a more linear fashion. Instead of hopping for plates, you compete in wars with clannies and this incentivizes clan loyalty.


Some things we could possibly add are: A matchmaking system(This would make it so pwars aren’t possible), Disable forfeits(so we don’t run plunder wars abusing the system).


I think this would be such a cool thing to add back in. It is easy-ish from a developer standpoint (All systems are in place and just need to be enabled and recycled) and the community would appreciate a change of pace in the game. All feedback appreciated!

This is like one of the few ideas that could actually be easy to implement and freshen up the game… Devs could test the waters with adding it to be part of one of the events and if it doesn’t work, well it was just a non-committal try and go back to how everything was

 

I mean, I would think that some way of obtaining plates would be added… as well as keeping the plate drops from EBs. It’d just be an addition
