My next Pallumen land will cost 3+Q gold. I can either buy an ally or a Pallumen land and buildings. I can spend day 3.5Q on an ally with 8b mcs or buy a new land and use my tokens to upgrade it to level 8. I notice that both these options result in about the same change in clan rankIng. So effectively, the additional 200 Pallumen tokens that I use does not seem to help me grow at all. Anyone else notice this or am I missing something here?
I went with the land and recommend that route, especially at that price. Maybe at like 12Q+ for next land the bfa gets hard to pass up.
more reasons to go with lands: 1) someday new lands will come out, probably next year somewhere. It’s virtually a guarantee that you will either need 10 or 15 lands to be able to unlock the next new lands. For that reason alone, I urge everyone to at least to get to 10, but push towards 15 just in case. 2) 8Bcs in bfa really isn’t very much. Bfa is 1/50th as strong as building stats so the 502.7 mcs you would get from 1 lv8 pal building is the same strength as roughly 25Bcs in bfa. Much stronger with the building there even if both impact clan rank similarity.
Thanks for the comments. I agree that it is better to buy lands and build to grow, as you can see the additional plunder etc. My intention of asking is that buildings in Pallumen lands don’t seem to change your clan ranking much, as compared to buildings in other lands. Not sure if there is some error in devs computation. And if there is really a problem, does this affect selection of players into teams in war?
Pal buildings do not effect CR much, except towers. It's why tower heavy attack builds end up generally higher on CR than spy builds. Had something to do with the way EE matchups apparently.
Ya, that seems to be correct, they don’t do much for your clan rank. But, having a high clan rank never actually helps anyone with anything. It is off though, i agree there.
While clan rank itself doesn’t do very much, I am not sure if it is used to pair players in war. If this is faulty, then can this false ranking create very imbalanced wars?
No, I do not believe clan rank is used to determine who gets on what team. It’s based on overall size of the team when adding all buildings and BFA of the team for KA, while indi for some reason does full buildings, bfa but only seems to count half of charms.
I don't want to wake a sleeping giant but there is a tale as old as kaw itself that spoke of a player by the name of spragga...players who crossed him spoke of waking to 0/0/0/0 stats. Building's and land razed, wandering villagers crucified left and right. But that's a story for another time.
The tradeoffs are very complex the more you look but heres a glimpse One extra pallumen lvl 8 gives around 1t extra gold per xtal on double crux on HTR. For a 3Q land, thats 3000 xtals to break even which is a lot but nothing crazy - for reference the much more efficient dm and osmon upgrades are about 1000 xtals to break even while the last pallumen land is 40,000 xtals to break even. I dont count the cost of the building as most dont use gold to upgrade pallumen. On promos you can get up to 2T extra per x (100% promo) so if you only x during promos that number gets cut in half Theres other uses for lands - towers for ee, and more building stats. One pallumen sdt gives about 500m (25b spy def bfa) and youll need 20Q of dedicated spy allies to get that level of spy defense (unless you find a ton of sdt only accounts like sexy_monster) Its hard to evaluate how good buildings are, and how to weight the extra gold per hit in war. Personally, I think extra gold per hit is extremely valuable so I've gone ahead and LC my future war account and im working on fs lvl 10 with gold. Ice is LC and fs lvl 10 bc and i dont think he has regrets. At your size, I think the new lands are easily worth it especially if you get a lot of plates - feel free to pm me if you have any further questions
