I have thought about trading supplies with other players, supplies like Psion or banner items. I have no use for some of the supplies in my inventory. I am not able to sell them. Why not trade them with other clanmates who could use it and put it to good use? For example, I have a bunch of banner cloths, banner steel, and other items dropped from eb's and events. If I don't want to upgrade my banner, because I already have a good banner, why not trade it to someone that can use it?
Also people making alts and trading stuff to their main is a big disadvantage.Think about the xtals you get for a new account,10 xtals+1...
Add to that, new players get their low lands for free now. When I started playing, I had to purchase all of my lands and buildings.
