Ally searching method

  1. Ally searching for complete dummies

    Disclaimer: Use the following at your own discretion... People are in the ally market for different reasons. Some to make gold others may want to increase their BFA. For those wanting to increase (and keep the increase) I hope this will help you hire your allies more consistently. If your in the market for profit, an allies activity is an important factor. The values below are a decent guideline and have simply helped me avoid spending too much on what I thought was a good price for an ally, but do not account in any way for an ally that is growing/active and possibly overpriced atm.

    First, heres the basic values.

    A = Current total cost (ally price)
    B = Total combined cs/correct cs for the price*
    X = cost per cs (cost/cs)

    a = b•x
    b = a/x
    x = a/b

    Ive found the ideal value for X is around 70-75k, but realistically its going to be 80-100k. Ive only ever been in the market for allies under 5tril, so I have no idea how these values add up for players that cost more than 5T.

    The numbers in parenthesis = exact values while the numbers before are rounded off for simplicity.

    Examples:

    Allie 1 (realistic)
    A = Cost 882b (882,195,976,765) or 8.82x10^9
    B = 10.4m cs (10,449,396)
    X = 84,826 (84425.5473)

    Ally 2 (ideal/fair cost)
    A = 840b (840,186,644,539) or 8.401x10^9
    B = 12.2m cs (12,212,731)
    X = 70,015 (68,795.9674)

    This means.. an allie that cost 2987428704739 (2.9T) should have about 42.2m cs at a cost of 70k gold per bfa.70k is based off numerous (over a dozen) allies Ive found in the 800-882b cost range with enough bfa to equal 70,000 gold per BFA, granted most if not all are inactive which for many would make the ally less than ideal. However, for those looking to increase and keep cheap bfa, these allies would be good at 70k per cs.

    So, How you can use this when your searching for allies:
    When your searching by price, you can find out what the CS of the ally your searching for should be by dividing their cost by whatever value you've assigned to X.

    Like this: b (ally's combined stats) = a (ally price) / x (cost per CS)
    or
    b = a/x

    TL;DR/more simply put,

    Find an ally you consider to have good stats for their cost.

    Divide that allies cost by their CS to get a value for x and plug those numbers into the above equations. This will help you hire allies at much more consistent prices per CS you gain.

    Also, most mobile calculators output numbers over a billion as a notation. Here's a list:

    1billion (1x10^9)
    10 billion (1x10^10)
    100billion (1x10^11)
    1Trillion (1x10^12)
    10Trillion (1x10^13)
    100trillion (1x10^14)

    Includes math. Can dummies do math?

    There are a lot of allies over 5T. You say yourself that you are inexperienced.

    Why would someone not want to make money from ally sales? Sure, i can understand if someone wants to keep bfa, but, if your guide is correct then they would be purchasing ideally priced allies, which would in turn sell quickly. Also, shouldn't someone use the money they make from ally sales to increase their bfa?

    If you are going to try making money, then only buy active allies. Why bother with inactives?

    That is to small of a group to test. To be truly accurate, you need to look at all prices, and look at hundreds of allies.

    If you can't manage some 5th grade algebra and simple addition, then maybe you should stick to other parts of the game xD

    I really only included that for examples. Ofc this is not going to cover the entire range of the ally market, which is why I said I have not used this with allys over 5tril. But, for those with experience in those parts of the market they can still find this useful. I could have been more clear with my disclaimer, this is more of a method for searching the market and not intended as a one size fits all type guide. Experience in the market is more valuable then any of this information. But for those just starting, (like me a month ago) this will hopefully help.

    Edit: updated the title.
