In a time before history was recorded there was an army of the greatest warriors to have ever lived, training began at 3 and ended the day you die, these men and women were bred for war , their strength and speed unrivaled, their technique Flawless , their dedication unwavering and their thirst for war insatiable. This was an entity free from the control of the Great kings of old; one that could bring prosperity or death for any kingdom and it was for this reason that the great kings despised them. One day the kings grew collectively tired of living in fear that they would be the next victims of these warriors, ended their many quarrels with each other and agreed to meet in secret , that night they laid out a plan to end these warriors once and for all . And two weeks later the ambush was set. A few hours before sunrise on a chilly winter morning a wounded soldier stumbled into the warriors encampment speaking frantically about an army of barbarians battering a much smaller army of king Rektalomon’s in the great plain of Izalith, the warriors quickly decided to help the smaller army and at the break of dawn, the warriors came across the scene of the battle , the barbarian horde beating down and pushing back Rektalomon’s army , the warriors let forth a vicious battle cry and charged at the barbarians but as they neared, their leader noticed there was no bodies lying on the ground, he immediately ordered his men to stop. But it was too late. The many armies of the world charged over the rim of izalith and the Warriors , realising the betrayal, charged again at the two armies in the middle with renewed anger and vigor, and annihilated the armies and beheaded king Rektalomon before the other mass of armies could even get close. The warriors prepared for the coming onslaught. Despite knowing they were outnumbered 1000 to 1 a calm washed over the warriors as they watched millions flow into the plain , when the charging armies finally got close enough the warriors themselves charged at the wave that was about to wash over them . And so the bloodiest day in history began. The warriors fought with their usual perfection , slaughtering waves of inferior soldiers as if they were a different species of human beings , within an hour the warriors were fighting on a hill of dead enemies , using the uphill advantage to its full potential , even throwing bodies down on the climbing soldiers. The Kings were not willing to retreat. But the warriors were not willing to to die. But these warriors were still only human and as night came they grew tired and as they grew tired they began to fall, fighting near-blindly because the moon hid from the earth to not be tainted by the sight of this battle and by sunrise it was the only 12 warriors who originally formed their army, the great King Amorithilex’s vanguard and Amorithilex himself that remained both sides knowing only one side will survive and fought with renewed intensity At noon of this second day, after the vanguard was gone and Amorithilex was beheaded, the leader of the warriors remained standing he knelt in a pool of crimson blood and wept for his fallen brothers and sisters, ending his life by his own blood drenched sword. The Earth itself, weakened vastly by the deaths of so many, used its last reserve of strength and restarted the world by swallowing every civilization whole, leaving only two humans left and went into eternal slumber. But this is not the end of the story for life's spark burns long after our bones are dust. The warriors awoke in purgatory and prepared for their journey to the afterlife but Death himself approached them to give them an offer they couldn't refuse. Death told the warriors that if they could defeat the armies of hell they would be returned to earth as they were before they died as time immortals (never aging), but if they failed they would face eternal damnation instead of the paradise they are meant to head too. The warriors immediately accepted for the thrill of battle is all they lived for, what they died for and now what they will do to live again. Death weaves suffering into the both the world and the afterlife and saw this as an easy way to bring everlasting suffering onto the warriors but even death underestimated the determination and love for war that the warriors were born into. The stage was set and The warriors met with the nearly unending mass of undead fiends of all shapes and sizes, in death you do not tire and therefore the warriors didn't falter, after 2 millennia the warriors succeeded and as the leaders blade penetrated death’s blackened heart there was fear in death's eyes. Despite being outraged at his defeat death kept his word and just before sending the warriors back to earth gave the leader the title of Gravelord and called him his equal. The warriors awoke where they fell in what's now called the lowlands and are now infinitely bloodthirsty and nobody is safe from being their victims. I am the Gravelord, and we are those warriors of old, and although our old name is forgotten we have a new one that the very mention of makes the slumbering earth shiver, We are Victrix Mortalis, the Conquerors of Death, we are always watching, always listening, always waiting, and always ready for battle, if you think you have what it takes then join us, and see if you are worthy.
