US Presidential Election - 8 Days Remaining

Discussion in 'Off Topic' started by Seth, Oct 31, 2016.

  1. Politics have always been something to create a debate, but I think this years election takes the cake.

From trigger happy Trump, to socialist Hillary, this years republican and democratic nominees have America, as well as the rest of the world dumbfounded.

Trump is a heavily right sided candidate, focused on the war on terrorism, job availability and benefits for US veterans. There's plenty more to him, but this is where the media have been pointing the spotlight.

Hillary is more focused on things like taxation, foreign relations and democratic/peaceful solutions overseas. Similar to Trump, there's plenty more to this, but these are focus points with the media.

With 8 days remaining until the election, just remember that you can write in an individual who isn't Trump or Hillary.

  2. "Democratic/peaceful solutions overseas"?
What? She said she wants to instate a 'no-fly zone' over Allepo, which the leading panel/committee of US Generals/Field Marshals said would:
"instigate a war against both the Syrian Government as well as Russia" and concluded by saying that "This is not a decision I would be willing to make"

So not sure about that point, but otherwise not too bad

PS: War veterans actually urged Republicans to rescind their endorsements of DJP following his remarks that Veterans with PTSD were "just not strong enough mentally" amongst other anti-veteran views

  3. This will be my first time voting ^~^ can't wait to cast my vote for Jill Stein of the Green Party.

  4. I'm dressing up as America's future for Halloween.

    I'm wearing all black.

    It's rather bleak.

  5. Maybe a couple veterans feel that way not all of them

  6. He said, during a rally, that avoiding an STD was his "own personal Vietnam". Furthermore he deferred conscription for Vietnam on 4 separate occasions. When speaking of John McCain, a widely accepted war hero(which Trump refuses to acknowledge), he said he was "only in the army because of his education"
After accepting the Purple Heart medal from a Lieutenant Colonel he said: " I always wanted to get a Purple Heart. This was much easier."

So even if some veterans do support him, it's because of their ignorance[with regards to his personal views and temperament]and not because they like Trump.

Edit: to make sure some people who are incapable of establishing links on their own have an easier time while reading this.

  11. Doesn't matter, either way we're screwed.

  12. Reinstating communism and the gulags, along with a mass cleansing of the human race, would be a better solution than electing either candidate.

  13. Hillary a socialist?

Thats funny when no left wing party exists lol

  14. Maybe so but Canadians led the Pens to the cup.
We export athletes very well apparently

  15. Multiple left wing parties exist, but she is not a socialist.
