Honestly why should you be given compensation for a slightly later than usual reward? Honestly whether or not you get the pvp rewards now or later shouldn't make a difference to you in any way. The only thing I can see being a problem is the rare case that you were somehow relying on the xtals from the rewards for war or a train.
