There's a very strong double standard amongst the Apoc moderators when it comes to it. For instance, I made a beautiful tribute thread to my S6 clan recently which was perfectly ToU compliant. Few of the opposing clan's butthurt members attempted to troll on it, it got graveyarded, for literally no apparent reason. Instead of cleaning out the thread and reposting it, the Apoc mod went out of his way to shut down a ToU compliant original post. Known what the irony is? There were 3-4 low effort threads on the AT at the same time. There even was a thread with bot accusations on the AT. All of which were ignored. At the end of the day, this game is dying a slow death partly due to certain moderators going out of their way to misuse their powers and target people they don't like and/or are in OSW against. Heck, there are neutral moderators who know about this and even admit to the flagrant misuse of power by their peers.
My thread that was removed. See what I'm talking about? This game is being ushered into it's grave by faulty moderatorion. The poor devs are strung like puppets and don't know they're being played.
There's a simple solution honestly. There needs to be harsher actions against people who try to derail threads. If a post is locked and the derailers are given warnings/temp bans then the thread should be cleared up. Honestly the best solution is for mods to learn how to be impartial but that's hard for some.
The usual MO is that the offending posts are removed and the thread is reposted but when it comes to Apoc moderators, there is a very strong bias. There are so many instances of abuse of power that I can point out. The whole moderator program should be rehauled or scraped now that the devs have a stronger representation in the forums with their individual accounts. Moderators in OSW clans are only going to be biased to their side in the end, it's how human nature is. The game suffers, the faulty moderation continues.
Offending posts should be cleared and posters should be warned. If it continues, they are banned. Perfectly good threads shouldn't be locked because some individuals can't stay on topic. Punish those who derail, not those actually contributing to the forum positively. It keeps happening cause threads are locked and they move else where. It's not a solution. Just another bandaid fix.
From what I saw before I left was that it almost seemed as if they had a quota to meet. There are some mods who are familiar with the forums, they're just lazy as hell. Oh sorry I meant busy being fellow privileged players and having lives. Can't say I would no, no idea what this thing was all aboot however from your description it sounds like a huge storm of fecal matter. This isn't so much a new cause as it is a cause that has dragged on too long, but I get where you're coming from. yea that's unfortunate, seen some good threads get locked by this lot more crappier ones as well. Yea but that requires them to be mildly competent at their volunteer jobs. Jesus, sounds like you guys have been going through some things, wanna hug it out forums? Maybe someone to talk to? Not me of course I mean someone in the psychological field. Not new, Welcome to the Internet. But I understand this point. Yea unfortunately most frequent forum posters are a little uptight if you don't have bbcodes. Sorry just gotta say it again. Welcome to the Internet. I understand this is what is on the internet. Doesn't make it not a problem on KaW though. There are things devs can try to improve the state of forums and the game in general. A forum mod would be a step in the right direction.
That would the right way to go about it if the whole team consisted of impartial moderators, but it does not. A good number of them aren't, as they demonstrate time and again with their actions. Very few of them remain neutral in the face of it all. Shout out to Titan_God for at least trying, I appreciate it.
My experience with the various moderators has always been positive and fair. Each to their own I guess.
I agree completely but there's only so much we can do. This game is indeed in need of an overhaul, think you mean reactivate forum mod position.
You guys act like wc was amazing... Even back in the "good ol' days", it was filled with clan ad spam
I'm not saying all Mods are bad or bad at their volunteer jobs, just the ones who claim to make forums better (no proof from me on anyone specifically) but aren't around all that often. My intent isn't to paint mods in a bad light, I apologize if anything I've posted is causing yourself or anyone to think that is why I'm here.
Um what? What.... what are you even talking about? This isn't about the quality of the forums, I already knew it was a cesspool. This thread is about the inconsistency of active posts, this thread in and of it self is kinda disproving that very topic however and I am enjoying it.
I understand it can be difficult to silence a clan mate or whatever however that is the burden they take on when they accept the position. Complete impartiality is impossible however I do agree there are certain things they could try to assist in achieving impartiality. All locks, silences etc. should go straight back to a staff member to review. It probably does but whether it gets checked is another matter. I have seen a mod say I think that if they are unsure or can't be impartial they refer the matter to another mod. Again though, doesn't mean it happens every time. Any indication of a mod abusing their powers should mean an immediate removal of their moderator status. They need to set the bar high or not bother at all. Mistakes can happen with any of us however continual abuse should not be tolerated. Now I'm not saying this does or does not happen or any particular mod is at fault. Just saying what I think should happen.

I never mentioned anything regarding the quality of the forums. Forums are a cesspool, sure. What I touched upon was that you and several other users have mentioned wc and how the posts go back beyond X minutes. My point was, so what if the time goes beyond X minutes. WC was never that great, why is that a point you keep mentioning? Again never mentioned it once. Yet you keep asking what made wc so great, well um, nothing. You mention clan ads being spammed, that's a form of high quantity but low quality. I'm talking about the 4th thread currently on the AT being posted on 3 1/2 hours ago, low quantity and high/low quality. Oh no, not linking it to the dead inactive AT of maybe this thread and another being posted on, I just got the idea while drinking bleach and licking windows. Now is the disorganization on my part or yours? I should really sleep, but I got forums moving and I don't wanna stop.
