Good day everyone, and welcome to another thread that I'm posting for today! I've recently been in a few HTE's seeing some situations happened in which I'm gonna state in this thread! Now, without further adieu we can...Begin! Haunting The Escape: Early hitting items at Phase 2 Now we all obviously know by now, that the second bar of Phase 2, the Skeletal Horde is an optional bar. Which means everyone can early hit the Seal of the Dead right after the Reanimated Corpses is down! Yes, all of us do want a lot more extra money and of course, the event items! Here, I would think of an idea that may not help big hitters much, but it would promote clan loyalty and satisfaction especially for playera who liked early hitting items at Phase 2! So my suggesstion is, in a both-phase FFA scenario OR a Phase 2 FFA, when the Skeletal Horde bar runs down to below 3,000 out of over 283,500, allow all players to early hit items! My reasoning of this, is that I understand there are players who may not have a strong internet connection, and it would take them more than 2 seconds to navigate with the battle logs and back to the epic battle. In such cases, especially in fast running HTE clans, it would be fairly assumed that you see a below 3k left optional bar. After selecting your items, and continue to land the first hit, the Skeletal Horde bar would have already been zeroed by now! 3,000 health counts for 1.05% of the full bar, and that is worth typically around 10 hits, more or less! I wouldn't personally see it as much hits left! Also, we already got the Reanimated Corpses too! For closed item scenarios, the sealer can early hit items too when the skeletal horde ran down below 3K! Sure, if the second bar still has a lot more than 3K hitpoints left, it would be fair and just to assume the player who hits items violates the typical HTE rules, showing that the early hitters are not giving others a chance to finish off the Skeletal Hordes! But when it goes down below that amount, it doesn't look like there's much left to hit, so why still take it seriously and call them out for early hitting items when there is only 454 health left for example? The Pros 1) While early hitting items at Phase 2 when Skeletal Hordes are left below 3k, other players have just about enough time to finish off the last bit of skeletal hordes. 2) In a HTE clan where majority of players likes early hitting items when the second bar is below 3k of Phase 2, if you allow them to do it instead of calling them out, they would feel that they will like this hte clan more than others, and chances if you are lucky, they would recommend your clan to others as a result of you being lenient to them allowing early hits in FFA cases. "This HTE clan is very nice, they allow us to early hit items below 3K! I love this hte clan! 3) You would be showing generosity to players who liked early hitting items while the players who have enough time to finish off the skeletal hordes while the item bar runs down! 4) ^In addition to those pros, it can promote clan loyalty depending on the HTE clan and its members."Unlike other hte clans, you allowed us to early hit items so I want to stay as perm in your clan! These other hte clans are too strict! 5)By doing that, you don't need to go through all the needless farming, kicking and smack-talking the player who early hit items especially when the health of the second bar of Phase 2 is below 3k. A very small amount, how crazy would it sound anyway? The Cons 1) If no players hit the last 3k hitpoints of Skeletal Hordes while the item bar runs down, then the last bit of hits are wasted. Opinions? In overall, I see more advantages than disadvantages of letting players early hit items in FFA cases! Especially when the no-hit-item-unless-second-bar-is-0 is NOT stated as a rule on the clan page OR the Clan Announcement itself. I would feel that it would be viable to allow players to early hit items(specially for those who don't have a strong connection resulting in taking a longer time for the bars to sync.) when the skeletal hordes run down below 3K! Here's something to snack on.. Why not have an option when throwing your seal to have it Long or short... Or better yet, come up with a premium Scrag eb that's lasts as long as the extended haunt, hell, you could even add an extra two bars to it.. Keep the per hit amount of gold the same for both ebs, and charge the same 6$, or whatever it is, and that way people can actually start getting some value for their real cash.. Maybe that might even get rid of those dreaded B2B haunt clans everyone is so fond of by making it worth while to spend your seal on your "home clan".. I'm slightly inebriated, so hopefully that made sense to someone out there other than myself.. It sounded really good upstairs.. Oh yeah, HELLO SEAN, why don't you ever respond to me
Why are you making a forum post about this? Clans should be able to make their own rules and enforce them on item phases, they've been doing it fine since HTE was released.
Sean while I get you are trying to help out the players of the community things like this come down to the clan/sealer. There are so many variables in play that change how players/clans should go about hitting hte. I have seen a player with a slow internet connection but with closed items start hitting the items early and leave it at 1% in order to save time and help the clan out. Perhaps suggest this within your current clan Sean but honestly other than that I think that letting players decide what they want is the best move
