  1. CYNDER FOR MOD!

  2. Hm been about a year and a half since I last applied maybe I'll do another.

  3. Isn't mod a position you apply for?

    Player Retention and Engagement -
War Leaders understand the mechanics of game play better than most passive players.

For example, how many attacks do you do to keep someone out of dtw if they are full? What if they have a glitch building, how many then? What takes more (and how much more as a %) on a steal, BFA, BFE, Build, etc.

You don't see war leaders publically in forums or in WC because they are going about their business, and not looking for badges; they want wins for their clans in EE, successful strips, and a lively clan chat.

  5. Oh and grizzy, if you can't see why war leaders should be praised you clearly don't understand some of the most fundamental reasons we play KAW.

    On a side note:
Players have suggested for years, and maybe this is another opportunity to make a suggestion that falls on deaf ears <cough cough ATA> you want to add a casting spell for "Trackers" and "War Commanders" ?

Also, how about an Strip War Gold Scoreboard lol That's pie in the sky thinking there 

  6. I think KAW should just get rid of all mods and just keep the VKs with the likes of Grant and co having accounts known within the game now should have anyone with issues be directed to them to deal with hopefully in a non biased way

  7. The mod team is slowly shrinking and we have lost a few more mods recently. We are now down to 15 mods so we have lost nearly half the mod team in terms of numbers since the last mod wave. Perhaps this is slowly being introduced or perhaps a new mod wave is due.

Personally I think removing the mods in general is a bad idea as they have a good knowledge of the overall game which surpasses that of those who run the game. We need the mods to help further the communication between the community and the dev team.

  8. I Completely agree ^

  9. I don't think it's a good idea to get rid of player mods. Just because the devs have named themselves in forums doesn't mean they have a knowledge base about the players in kaw.
I know people who give their plants names, and that has never once inspired me to have a deep and meaningful conversation with "grant the plant".
Saying the devs won't be biased is laughable in itself. They have a business to protect and if they're the only ones left to "watch" over us, then I'm going to have to assume those who pay more will indeed receive more. It's the nature of the beast.
So please don't advocate to remove playing mods. They are an invaluable commodity and should not be scrapped

  10. I vote myself for moderator

  11. Should I apply to help stop farming?

  12. cf pls

  13. I praise them all the time here and say ty of course just don't see why they would get vk is all they aren't helping the whole of kaw.

Edit: unless they were putting out threads teaching people then fair enough I don't see that from the war leaders that people have suggested so I'll stay with imo.

  14. I think you've got a fair opinion grizzy, but I don't think VK's were ever decided based on their wider kaw influence per sé. For example we all have our niches as players let alone as VKs or moderators.

Our current warry VKs are Harrian and Atropos and they have made warring more accessible and more interesting for those in those wars.

Sometimes I war and then I can encounter them in-game and I know they have the knowledge to have a decent war.

But i wouldn't go to either of them for forum advice particularly, then I would go to AJ for a chat.

I don't think either mods or VKs need to be the jack of all trades, being a master in one aspect is more than enough IMO

  15. I personally think VK can be either a master of a certain area, great at a wide variety of areas or even both. What sets them apart is what they do with that knowledge and ability. For example there are people who know just as much about war a harrian and atropos (if not more) however the difference is what they do with that knowledge. If you keep that information to yourself or only help a select few close to you then you aren't really living up to the VK persona. It's similar with mods although of course they need to have a good understanding of the ToU on top of that and really they should be familiar with game mechanics.

What I said above also explains why people who communicate in forums and wc more are more likely to be noticed and therefore are more likely to get VK. They are seen helping others out. If someone who specializes in tracking is teaching people on 3rd party apps or in pm it's a lot harder for them to be recognized for it.

As a last note this also explains why it's hard for people to be recognized for teaching people the art of OSW. A lot of skills are shared only with people close to them to give them an advantage over the enemy and while I think they should be eligible for VK for helping out people, it is a lot harder for them to be recognized for it.

  16. I personally believe this is the defining difference.

  17. Who really gives a rats ass. Vk ? Wtf ?mods obviously in a huddle to decide next good member for the team of green! As for Vk they are pretty useless and nobody heard of these posting above me

  18. Willy for VK.

  19. The hell is a VK? And what's the point? Oh yah my names blue....pfft

  20. Although I am all for extra speakers for VK, I don't really think they need anything else. The blue is essentially just a symbol of Dev recognition and appreciation of your in-game awesomeness.

There have been a heap of worthy nominations on this thread, but also valuable player critique of the system, such as the divide between ee/forum VK.

Btw, thanks for going into the value of ee ones better than I did @shadymarine. What I think this highlights is that there are a lot of VK potentials in the warring system who don't forum. This really means it's up to the community who do forum to bring public attention to their expertise and contribution.
