Hey all. It's your kingdom's sauciest peasant. I was curious about something I don't think would ever be implemented but nevertheless would add an element of spiciness to these events. If in the last 24 hours of the event you could buy a spell that gave you the ability to bet all your event items (for example crests in the current event) in a one time double or nothing bet would you do it? I have a paltry 1,300 crests but if I made the bet and risked it all I could jump to the 2,000 crest level which I wouldn't get to otherwise. Someone with 2,000 crests would obviously choose against the bet as the next level is 5,000 and they wouldn't gain anything by ending at 4,000 crests. Imagine the chaos created in the final 24 hours for the leaderboard. That would be fun to see and it would be interesting to see how many had the stones to swing for the fences. Would you do it?
Yes, that would be awesome. Kinda reminds me of that Nomad event. I doubt it would be implemented though, Devs tend to favor LB/big spenders and if a nobody can double up and kick a P2W player out of top 100 then.. yeah. Still a pretty fun idea though.
It's not actually gambling since it is all fake money. I think this would be interesting but what would the bet be?
The bet is you bet all for double or nothing :roll: That IS what you're betting on. Interesting idea. Not sure I'd bet everything! But the rewards could be good if you managed to get double. However considering this is encouraging gambling, it doesn't fit the current age req and would probably be said to be 'inappropriate' content.
Isn't anyone seeing the issue of this? People would just sit at let's say 9900 crests, wait till the end and double or nothing it too collect better rewards
Why would they sit at 9,900? I'm not following your logic as to why that would be more optimal then doubling 10k, or 15k..ect
Personally I liked and disliked the nomad event. I liked the whole gambling factor as there was not only some luck involved, there was also a certain amount of skill needed to accurately guess the winning side. I did however dislike the fact ebs dropped items. If they wanted to monetize the event there is a very simple way. Have it so that players start off with a set amount of tokens. Players place bets on sides like in the nomad event where they choose how many they want to bet. They bet all of them and lose them all it's all over for them in the event unless they purchase an item in the marketplace called something along the lines of "Gamblers sorrow." This enables them to reclaim all lost items from the previous round of betting you took part in. This would enable paying players to have the edge but not buy their way up. There would need to be tiers as well as a leaderboard however due to everyone being allocated the same number of items early on the leaderboard competition would be high.
