Potential alternative

  1. But I'd say that popular forumers are popular because of their good threads and posts

  2. Not necessarily. My point is being able to post in forums shouldn't be about popularity.

I understand this method is aimed at trying to reduce trolls. But remember, it can get rid of decent forumers too.

  3. It won't get rid of them. If there's a decent forumer, I would like them. Simple as that. I'd hope others would be capable of that toO

  5. I'm sure many are capable of liking decent posts. Just as many are capable of liking troll and spam posts for the sake of it.

I think there are better ways to try and help than turning KaW forums into a popularity contest. People will just start petitioning for likes in threads  And even if it stops trolls making threads, they can still post them.

Just my thoughts and opinion. It's a decent idea I just disagree. :)

  6. Why not just have a minimal character needed to create the thread?

But saying to charge people to open a forums is stupid, forums is a place for learning, questioning, ideas and to talk about game/other. You can't add anything to restrain anyone from posting without meeting some forum of aggression or dislike.

They are fine as they are ,could it be better? yes it could but not adding a payment or restraining people based on level, post count or other.

  7. A like system would be great though for people trying to get supporters in forums for ideas, since many don't forum because of the semi perm link to their account while the thread is in forums.

  8. Support simply for the forumer ranking idea.

However, I also like the idea of "liking" of the post itself. Having supports tallied automatically might be helpful for devs on implementing ideas.

  9. Support- original and sound idea
