As always, a big update leads to a lot of people talking. But this particular one I feel is a bad one. My reasons why are: The roles make little sense; for example, a War Chief is unable to mute anyone, and only one rank apart from War Chief and Warlord can kick: and that only allows kicking. The expense of the positions: I, normally, own a small clan. We run small EBs up to Tier 3, and it takes me, the biggest person and leader of my clan, a while to save up from these to even 50 billion; A trillion for War Chief is out of the question. The limit on positions: For quite a few clans, I'm sure this is unimportant, but the limit is, well, limiting. Even if I could afford the high prices for positions, I could not give them to many people. Both recruiting and EB starting is limited to 7, which I consider vital roles for admins. I don't want to have a bunch of recruiters on and no EB; equally, I don't want someone to be waiting at the door. This can be solved by giving a lot of positions away, but that comes back to the expense point. Also, I don't like limited each persons functions. They should be able to all do all, or at least let me choose what they can and can't do. Finally my personal minute annoyance is I don't like the names :/ Admin and Owner fitted just fine, and I don't like any of the new names. But I'll get over that, and it isn't too important. I realise these points don't apply for all clans, but they all raise valid points for some. I think we should be allowed to assign which roles who can do - give them fancy names of you have to, maybe even allowing the owner to choose the names, or alternatively reverse it to how it was before, plus muting, which would be ideal for my clan and feelings, but maybe not for all. A kind of hierarchy could be well incorporated, but I just feel it hasn't been. Criticism and support (in particular) welcomed
Paying to unlock clan/guild/cartel ranks is completely alien to me after having played hundreds of games. Not being able to set the titles and permissions of ranks is not completely uncommon, but limiting the number except the top rank is just plain silly. Kaw, trying to be original is a good thing, except when it comes to QoL changes... What works for others work for a reason.
No support.. You should have to be prepared before running a clan. Nub clans are a fail for all of kaw.
No support. I agree, I'm not too fond of limits, but they are helpful - to a point. Plus, people have been begging for this for ages. Just be happy we even got an update like this, instead of not being happy because it was a bit different than what you envisioned.
For 400 bill you can have, - 5 players that can start ebs - 5 players that can work the door (comes out the same with or without a war chief) The cost of a clan is 20 bill right? So 420 bill you have a clan and a sufficient amount of members to maintain the basic functions of said clan. That cost can be covered by one person, small or large stat, from one event. The cost of positions can be paid for by other members also. I dont see this as a problem. If anything i see positives that will come from this. Members probably will appreciate the roles they are granted. Result, more effort from them to maintain their roles. Less clan hopping from those who carry a clan role. With limited spots the position might not be available if they leave the clan. Less half assed ran clans that new players have to deal with. That is if they even continue to play. Op, if your clan had just 4 more members that were regularly active in both cc and ebs, how much more helpful would that be when recruiting, and maintianing new members? It would be huge. I speak from experience on that one. That 4 becomes 5 active members. Then 6 members chatting away in cc... Then you have a real core group and all of a sudden, yall are a legitimate clan. Most wont ever get those first few good members, though. Cause they are spread out across a thousand other half assed, poorly ran clans. But honestly, 420 bill isnt even that much gold.
But then the positions would still be separate. I can't have someone who can both leg others in and start an EB. In addition, to a big player doing larger EBs, 400 billion may not seem like a lot, but for anyone in my clan, it is. Not only that, but I'd be spending that huge amount of money on a role with much less power than an Admin had!
Why haven't the mods banned "AshtonRocks" yet? All he does on every thread is quote the whole OP on the first page and says nothing at all. He obviously does this on purpose, since several people have tried talking to him about it. Regarding your problem OP, as I explicity explained on the thread when they announced this update, that these were the issues smaller clans were going to face. A lot of others also foresaw that this update would make it harder for smaller clans to survive. Which is essentially akin to cutting out a lower tier in the kaw player ecosystem, which over time will lead to smaller clans shutting down and the players looking to join bigger clans but can't meet the CS requirement. I was hoping that the devs would factor game balance into their update, but I haven't seen a reply from them after the initial few posts on the thread. This update wasn't well thought or implemented well! KaW is a 6 year old text based game! We get 50 new players a day? 100? Where do we expect them to go, when clans for newbies can barely survive the update. Let's be honest, no clan owner wants to grind out 500b for a single position when his clan is doing tier 2/3 ebs. Why? Because it takes ages at the size and those ebs.
I find Useless That you have a recruiter, that cannot Start EB - then You have other position that cannot open clan door , But put EB??!!
