I remember when he DEVS said that war crystals were in the works, when I say ages ago I mean at least 18 to 24 months ago. I'm guessing they can't find profit in the idea. But does anyone else remember that post?
That's not the issue sky, the problem was devs had said they were going to put in war crystals in their roadmap thread years ago, but lo and behold nothing but events.
That's not true, they said they were looking into it, then later said it wasn't possible due to coding issues.
This is a part of why roadmaps are something we try to avoid moving forward. Schedules, plans, and designs can change over time. War Crystals were a broad concept we were looking into, which was later launched in the form of a Crystal Refund from wars. It's not a 100% rate of return, but if you're on the winning side there's a good chance you'll get a Crystal back. Don't win? You still have a chance to get it back. We've also been giving out a ton of free Crystals over the last few months which players could choose to hold onto for war should they so choose.
Well the LL wars have a decent crystal return rate, I did over 30 LL wars last event and used maybe 5 xtals in total. Almost a 80% return rate so far. So if you're saving the xtals they've been handing out, you should have no trouble warring.
Yea, war xtals are no longer a concern. We get free xtals all the time and xtal refund rates from war are very high. KaW has also stated numerous times times other than in this thread that the roadmap was scrapped
I've been getting a fee xtal at least once per week just for logging in. Not sure if this is gonna become a regular thing, but it works for me. Problem is once people get used to 2-3 free xtals per week, they're gonna want moar. MOOOOAAAARRRRR free !
If wars weren't exploited by 2nd party software spamming war clan chat, and fair playing fields were implemented, people might decide to war Before people flame - saying "go download the 2nd party tracker and make it even playing field" - there will never be fair playing fields for mobile device players, while PC users continue to exploit the game with tracking software. Having to download additional non-ATA software to "even the field" in war proves these trackers are unfair advantages to one side
Tracking software isn't cheating it's just a tool that can be used. It's like saying those who use pen and paper are cheating over those without.
