With the new clan roles adding up to 8.3 trillion, many starter and booster clans are left on the back burners. These are clans that have been dying since the coming of the hoarfrost lands. The game keeps expanding and getting more expensive and the cost of growth in both gold and time is extensive. The bottom line has been effectively erased. Destroying and disheartening new players to join kaw because many of the fun styles of the game, Like Pvp, both system and off system, are being hindered by inflation and with all this growth, the ally market has been turned into a cyst pool of hyperinflated crap allies pushing several hundred billion gold. We need to buckle up and adjust. Part of that is helping the smaller clans effectively function so that they can mentor new players into the mid-builds. Sponsor a clan is not the same as making one your sub-clan. These small clans will be independently ran by their current management. The idea behind this is much like business partnerships. Big clan funds small clan by buying one or more of their admin slots out to allow that clan function properly. There the two do a valuable trade in service. That trade can be anything, from holding Alts, to training new players how to war or OSW. This new cost can actually create interaction between big and mid clans with these small clans and could pull in a new tactical game play that can make this game a bit more interesting. This thread is for discussion: what do you think. How do you like the idea of using a business style of trade and influence when it comes to clan roles. And are you a new clan that will need sponsored? Feel free to post.
If you only read some of it, and only took an example from the post than you did not grasp the idea at all. My days of feeling post with colors and pictures are behind me. I guess I underestimated the fact that some players have short attention spans.
Technically you can. It isn't a set bond but an agreement. And any breaking of or conning of that agreement can lead to an OSW. Which is always fun.
Support for Prime tl;dr.Unfortunately,I did read. And while it's a cute idea, I don't see it happening. Anything WORTH it takes time and hard work. Blood sweat and tears. We don't need more baby clans destined to fail anyways. There are already SO many clans for every need out there. If you really want a clan, you'll bust your hump to make it work, not take handouts from other old, successful clans. If you make a game easy, it becomes boring. I appreciate the challenges devz have thrown at us. But what do I know, I'm just a peasant.
That is your opinion. If you don't think we need small clans and that the game does not need anymore new players. That is you opinion.
Oh honey, your reading comprehension is very poor, isn't it? I never said we don't need small clans. I've already stated that there are already clans for every need, including small clans and newb growth clans. I also stated that new clans need to put time and effort in instead of taking hand-outs. Did I not?
I knew what you meant, I just needed to hook you. And those establish clans need help footing the bill as well. This isn't a call out to pay everyone up front for every new clan out there. This is to manage a new strategy that has came to the game. Find a starter clan and shape them. Use the clan roles as payment. As they meet goals, you buy roles. There is no benefit to just buy and go. It allows you to influence new clans without making them a full out sub-clan. The economics that this can bring can be very interesting.
I see what you mean. But I just don't think it would actually come to fruition. It's a why bother type situation. To me, and possibly others, it seems like KaW Welfare. It's like sending checks every week to your ghetto cousins hoping they'll move up in the world because they got some change in their pocket. Hard work, determination and dedication pays. Slowly, but surely. Like I said, cute idea. I just don't see it as ultimately feasible.
Because it allows you to influence the new generation of players. Take New Age. We want more OSW clans in this game. It would be nice to influence a few dozen clans to train their players to actually war off system instead of taping away on an EB. Some clans may want to influence these clans to train their players in EE. But most of all. It's a fun factor with half the work. Instead of going through the hassle of running a su clan, you can set up a system like sub-contracting out the work. It will have a lot of bad investments, that happens, but the return rate could make the game fun. The bottom line isn't setting up a welfare state. It's setting up a new kind of game play that makes the game more politically diverse.
Also, the best part, if you don't want to do it, you don't have to. It's just something a few clans that want to do it can do to make the game a bit more dynamic. It has high risks and a potential high gain. That gain is having more player who play like you.
It's a decent idea, you could always do it yourself however, by going into said clan, buying the roles and then leaving the clan? @prime, I hope you're not a builder, that wall Of text had so many holes in it, I think they're called Paragraphs.
Exactly Rio. I am just pointing out ways to have fun with and maximizing the new feature coming to Kaw. May not be for anyone. But it could lead to a lot of things. Including making new clans with all slots unlocked, grading starter clans, and sub contracting training.
I would advise against buying them all at once. Buy them here and their. Make them work for the next slot.
I can understand how this could be helpful and it's not a bad idea. However, I don't think it's needed. You can just go to the clan and buy some of their slots to help them out if you wanted. And if you wanted to 'influence' a clan to teach new players OSW, there's nothing stopping you from making your own and teaching them yourself. 8.3T will stop many new players just making a clan. It seems detrimental but it may mean that we have less players who don't know what they're doing making a clan for the sake of it. As said previously, it encourages hard work and determination. Maybe, the more someone puts into a clan, the more they're likely to stick around. It can lead to people running clans because they want to, because they're invested in it and because they want to help new and older players alike.
Than don't do it. It's not what you do that makes you effective. It's how you do it. Many clans can OSW. Many clans can EE, and many clans can just buy slots for small clans. But it's how you do it. How creative you are willing to be and how smart you are about it that separates you from just blowing 8T on a failed clan to investing 8T in a clan and making that clan better. See it's all about how the deed is done. What that clan slot does for these small clans is give them another goal to work for. And instead of having individual goals it realigns the team sport in the game and creates a clan goal. Now they can either set their own goals and fund their own admin slots, or a bigger clan can set their goals and have them work for that goal and the bigger clan buys the slots. Goals do not have to equal growth. It could be attitude driven. This idea is me letting everyone know how you can have more fun with the up coming update. Rather you wish to bother with it or not is beside the point. That is your game and your decision. This is for people bored with the game and wanting to do something that will set long term goals and give them a new motivation to help new players and give new clans motivations to strive within a system. It is ultimately a game. This is only a side mission. Though sometimes the side mission is more fun than the main story.
