On this forum I would like to discuss everyone's favorite books/ series. Please state your favorite book or book series and explain why you like it. For example my favorite book series Are Lord of the Rings and Inheritance cycle because they are full of adventure and are very well written.
I love The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy: Trilogy Of Four Anything written by Terry Pratchett 1984 Lotr Asoiaf Great Expectations More stuff I'm too tired to recall
I preferred LOTR movies to the books to be honest. My childhood favourites: -Harry Potter series -Alex rider series -Inheritance was pretty good but it dragged a lot at places. -The Wardstone chronicles were epic. -Darren Shan was good. I read this book a while back and it certainly has to be one of the less mainstream ones yet very enjoyable: The Red rising series. Give it a Go! http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15839976-red-rising Many more but I will spend the whole day writing the post.
As a child my favourites were: •Alex Rider series •Robin Hood series by Angus Donald Currently reading the eagle series by Simon Scarrow. Best books I've read in a long time.
^ -Harry Potter series. Yes! -Alex rider series. Very good -Inheritance was pretty good but it dragged a lot at places This guy >> Re-reading the eragon series right now and am in the middle of eldest! I'd have to say brisingr is equal with inheritance, but a tad less dragging. I'd have to add in the original Percy Jackson series as well to the list
Anything by Chris Ryan is great. Holding the Zero by Gerald Seymour is a must read for anyone who likes books about snipers.
Anither series i honestly thought had a pretty good storyline was city of bones series. The movie was nowhere near as good, but the books had good depth after you get past the romance crap. Haha
Brandon sanderson - storm light archive books. Harry Potter books. The wheel of time books. Ravens shadow books (Anthony ryan) Twilight reign books (Tom Lloyd) The black jewels books (Anne bishop) The high Lord (and the rest of the trilogy, not read for a while, forgot author) Bernard cornwells books (not the sharpe ones)
All religious books are tedious to read, never found enjoyment in reading them, probably why I'm not religious
The ending was pretty abrupt. Personally I wanted a deeper epilogue about what happens. Just to cut and dry for my taste.
The little prince....rarely do you find a book that applies to people of all ages, great to read every 5 years as your life evolves
