I tend to have no problem with events, however I would love to be able to lose equipment that I don't want... I have to work too hard to find my hooves when I go clubbing.
Events are great for all players, big a and small alike. I've been top10-100 in some, top static tier in others. I've spent, and not spent. Who cares.
Re: Endless Promos No OP, as I pointed out your logic makes zero sense. If people stop buying Seals, then their profits drop further and will only push more events, by the logic you presented. It's one thing to say 'stop buying seals in events and make them work out another way to make money' and another thing to actually suggest how else they should make money, when every top grossing app is running this same 'concept' of events. Besides, if it works for the devs then why not? You don't have to participate in events and you can quite easily achieve the top tiers of rewards without even touching HTE. Also I know you're mad about the fact your war equip was outdated. Believe me, when I got level 50 in season 1 I was mad after the first event. But then I realised how moronic it is to think that the devs are going to stop the development and progression of the game because someone 'worked hard' in one war season. If the equip was never allowed to get better in an attempt to not make people mad - we would still be at the ASW1/S1 level of stats...
First and foremost, IT IS AN ONLINE GAME. If you are a seasoned online gamer, OP, you should by now know that everything we own "depreciates" hence you should have some "progression" into something better. In an online game, your activity levels are rewarded. If a veteran kaw player goes inactive just because there is nothing new that "excites" them (ahem, wars!), then the devs create events. Problem about hte? Then don't buy seals and do free eb. During events, participate more in wars, heck they reward better than eb and in a shorter time compared to whacking ghosts, trolls, rocks, dragons and other weird creatures.
I see where you're coming from bat; yet, boycotting HTE clans only is not going to accomplish anything. Now boycotting the Oracle would. But the kawmmunity won't do this because it has such a need for instant gratification.

First & for most, this was purely written out of boredom lol. Secondly if all of kaw quit buying seals for promos then it would make a statement. @Kill do agree with you there to a point, not buying nobs would be just as effective. Lastly, how do union workers get their demands met? They form a strike, not buying seals or nobs as Killzone stated would be a purely passive aggressive way to show the devs that the kawmunity as a whole is sick of constant promos. As I stated a few times, I dont mind promos just do not appreciate my equip "depreciating" as it was said literally less than 2 months after I got it. Most actively warring players showed great outrage when last seasons equip fell through because of these promos. As I am not currently a warring player I can not express their feelings as my own. However the kawmunity has actively & repeatedly said they were sick of b2b promos. Personally I've bought 3 25$ Google play cards for this game over a course of almost 3 years (I'm not far off the 3 year badge) I quit buying nobs/seals when I seen just how much it took to even go land complete let alone build complete. I go with the tide as far as promos go, they are slowly killing off more of kaw than they are helping. However, as a friend said "Those with money will do, and those without will do without". People are free to do as they wish, I do agree people demand instant satisfaction more often than not. The point of this thread was neither a serious topic, nor a rant. See the top where I invited trolls into it Rant & Rave as you wish, boycotting has been a age old tatic that has produced results.
I dunno man, the b2b events I've noticed since returning seem simple to me. It's a final push to milk the remaining days of the game. The new player base is not growing as much as needed, which leaves the obvious, create more means to pay for the existing die hard to keep a float. Or at the very least get the last hooray before having to call it a day and move on to other endeavors. Which sounds harsh but the game has been around awhile, definately dated and having a hard time growing new player base in a very competitive market. So yknow I could be mistaken in my speculation but it kinda makes sense if ya think about it.
Re: Endless Promos @Osmosis ..you're looking at the glass half empty when it's actually half full. The purpose of the events is to help narrow the gap (albeit ..as little good it does) between the LB and everybody else. Serves the same purpose as when they did 50% ebs couple years back and when they lower the price of new lands or buildings. As the game grows there HAS to be some avenue for a new player to be able to grow fast and to have the "hope" that they could one day be a prominent player. That's the purpose of the events. Anyone who can't see this hasn't been playing KAW long enough to identify the trends or are just too obtuse to see it.
Keep the promos coming!! Love the silver bars just for doing what I always have. Hitting and growing!!!!
@Bat, again I agree completely. Our rewards are decipricating dramatically. I dont understand why anyone is spending so much on these promos when they show off their reward for about a month time period? We spend money to get the rewards that are replaced by the same equipment a few weeks after the last event. By the time we use our inferno/aqua and upgrade our "rewards" the new ones come out and we're stuck in a routine. Those that love to spend and do promos would greatly benefit from a boycott. Why? Because your dedication, when and if devs listened, would thus be rewarded. Right now there are NO rewards. The only ones being rewarded are devs for their lore and artwork. Events can't just be like this, you know? Other games do events and make money, yes. But they reward players with different items. They are dynamic. Even when they are the same items, those are items that can be used in a variety of ways and aren't static. But people need to lay off batdog.. he isn't complaining but pointing out the obvious. I understand that we dont need to spend..I haven't spent since the favor pvp event and hte promos (since gold can be used on anything). I understand 1000+ can be easily obtained just from your daily routine on kaw. But for those that actually compete.. these events are unethical and feeding off the addiction of those who do spend. Players deserve more compensation. Maybe not necessarily "more", but devs should have a creativity meeting with ATA workers to figure out better ways to compensate the players who dedicate their time. Silver bars so far was a great idea and the higher inferno and aqua drops. Also the different ways so multiple people can obtain banners. But they are ruining the meaning of equipment hunting. Tl;dr Devs need to brainstorm
Re: Endless Promos then don't upgrade and wait ...eventually the events will slow down or the rewards will change. Noones forcing you to enchant your equip ...plus how do any of you know that the equip is obsolete?? Could be they will be needed for future ebs?
Are you aware that everytime that there is an event, war is very active. And dont forget we have also weekend PvP blitz. Kingdoms at WAR, dig that in bro. WAR! WAR! WAR. Blitz, blitz to cure your boredom. Seeing your profile, you have complete equipments why wouldn't you join? FYI, there are players like wenderful who are helping other players attain their goal in less than a week. As what many veteran players have said, this game should be Kingdoms at WAR.. errr, Epic Battles are for funding wars not the other way. Epic battles should be an add-on to the game not the main essence of the game.
Re: Endless Promos I have said from the beginning that the reason HTE stayed and the reason we have constant B2B promos is because of the players. The devs run a business. They presented a product and we bought into it. They've seen how much they can make so they continue. We would all do the same. In saying that, a boy cott will never happen. Neither is directing players to boycott the correct way to go. IMO, as events are here to stay, we should be seeing more variety and more diversity. The last couple promos have shown the devs might be listening - what with one just focusing on aqua and inferno, and the current one which has only 2 items to collect. As well as a few different paths. HTE clans might be part of the problem. I think we can probably agree that that is one of the biggest areas that is funding KaW. While the devs can make ample profit there, they will not take it away. So we're better off trying to work with the devs and provide constructive feed back and good ideas, rather than working against them and trying to boycott their (and our) game features.

Re: Endless Promos I don't think most people have a problem with the promo themselves, Todd. We all like free stuff. I know I don't have a problem with the actual promos, it's the lack of variety and frequency that is annoying. Yes we're getting free stuff for doing what we would be doing anyway, but doesn't mean we can't be unhappy with the way the promos are. The last few promos seem to be more of a step in the right direction. But personally I'd still like more of a break between them. I'd also like to see devs improving other aspects of the game like PvP, EE and other areas. But as promos seem to be their main focus for the foreseeable future, they could work on improving them.
I think people just need to accept this is part of the game. Events are a way to get extra gold and stuff. Complain all you want, but maybe you should *cough* get a job *cough* to buy 6 bucks worth of xtals a week and stop complaining.

(Did ANYONE who's complained on this or any other thread use the feedback or email support with their concerns/opinions ...ever? ...doubt it) People you can have a 100 valid points to make . The 1st 99 can be absolutely valid and true but if the 100th point you make is BS or if you present it in the wrong way it has a way of invalidating the 1st 99 things you said. I have no problem with a constructive conversation about how to improve things I just hate whining. ...& sorry but a boycott is just stupid
