Hello. I noticed a couple days ago that some guy made a thread asking why it's against the tou to account share, or more to the point. Sell your kingdom. The thread was not only locked very quickly, but seems to have also completely disappeared. Chaos locked it and stated something about how its tantamount to cheating and against the entire spirit of the game. Agreed. Except. It goes on regardless in a black market of buying and selling and transferring of kingdoms anyway. Anyone who thinks it isn't is wearing blinders. I was wondering. Why don't ata just have an app you can download and submit your kingdom when you are done with kaw for sale. Someone else could purchase your kingdom like an in app purchase. And you could then redeem the money when and if it sells. Ata could rename all kingdoms to some generic name. Keeping anonymity . Ata could set the value based on whatever they seem criteria fits for the value of a kingdom. Ata could make some money from this also. It's stated we don't own our kingdoms. They are the property of ata. Sure. That's ok, except that a lot of kingdoms have a stack of real dollars invested in them and when they quit kaw. It all goes no where. Why shouldn't ata make something from these kingdoms and why shouldn't a player make some small or large return for there investment of real dollars into that kingdom when they are done with it? To say it's not in the spirit of the game or cheating is not really relevant in modern kaw, which is primarily a pay to play if you wish to compete at mid or top teir. It's really just an extension of pay to play. It would legitimise an illegal trade that's going on anyway. It would encourage players to maybe spend a little more as they grow their kingdoms, knowing there is some return when done Ata make some money where previously they weren't. Just a thought. Is this possible? Or ludicrous
Hmmm. Not sure my opinion on this. Indeed account selling happens. It happens because it is almost impossible for ATA to prove someone is cheating by buying accounts. Same goes for accounts of people who have died that at still active. Just because someone makes a RIP thread doesn't prove the player is dead. However just because ATA is powerless to stop it doesn't mean they should turn around and try to profit from it. Sanctioning it would just make the disparity worse. It would be like if the police decided to start selling crystal meth.
Everything in kaw is for sale now. You can buy Aqua with x-tals, inferno with gold, crux chests, seals with nobility, nobility with real dollars, x-tals with real dollars. The only thing you can't buy is another kingdom. Just a propak complete kingdom with zero stats is an investment of around I think $100. That's without anything else. A player would have to submit to sell, so it's not like an inactive kingdom would suddenly be sold to someone else.
It's against Apple ToU to transfer digital property for money value (hence flappy bird got the ass from digital stores). If you had concrete proof that an account was sold and also notified Devs of such and nothing was done, my understanding is forwarding it to Apple will result in disciplinary action towards ata. This is all heresay but I did hear someone was refunded their year's worth of Kaw spending because they won a claim against Ata not doing enough to prevent cheating. Subsequently this person was banned from Kaw for "fraud". Who's right? Ata or Apple?
Seems to me ata would make potentially more money from an undeveloped Kingdom than from one that "has real dollars" already spent and gone.
Ata lose money every time someone buys an account instead of building a acct from scratch, why would they encourage account trading?
I'm locking this as the subject is strictly prohibited, here in an open forum discussion. Whether or not you feel otherwise, feel free to inquire with: support@athinkingape.com I will leave it out in the open for now.
Or, you could spend thousands of dollars to reach lb. Much more profit than taxing a couple thousand dollars for a sale. The more difficult it is to sell your account, the more likely youll just get hooked back into playing and spending even more money. Thats double the profit by banning the selling of accounts.
