Am I the only one who is just loving Jessica jones. ? I'm up to episode 9. I had no idea super heroes could become so mature and so adult. I love it !
Contrary to some people's belief, superheroes aren't just for kids. They can easily be quite adult, and complex.
Punisher MAX. Thor: Vikings Most of Deadpool's stuff. Marvel Zombies Anything MAX. Well, marvel zombies and Deadpool might not fall under complex.
^Marvel sucks, simple. Howard the Duck. Case, and point. *And to the doubters: it's the same as any art form. There's the simple stuff (slasher films, modern sculpure/painting, 12 bar blues, Silver Age comics), and increasing levels of intricacy. Not everything is Shakespeare, for any form of expression.
Also, while I can appreciate Jessica Jones, and what it brings to the table, it seems more like a thriller to me, which don't get me wrong, I like it, but when I go to a comic show, I expect rampant action with my atmospheric elements. See Daredevil. Jessica Jones isn't a traditional hero show. But that's just me.
^Have you seen the Howard the Duck movie? Wrecked Howard the Duck... Now Squirrel Girl, she is ultimate marvel warrior.
The Civil War storyline. The Winter Soldier. Days of Future Past. Daredevil: End of Days was damn good. Spiderman: One more Day
I'm watching Star Wars Clone Wars Anyone who says it's for kids is missing out. It gets trippy as hell
To me it doesn't matter who wrote the show. It's a great series IMO. Jessica Jones has a good storyline, her character is just dark enough, and many "oh crap" surprise inserts to it. Finished the last of S1 last night.
