Why It's Important

  1. This is the bit I don't follow.

  2. Have a look at Kezzer's explanation. If that doesn't clear anything up follow me =)

  3. To keep it really simple.

To know the stats an ally will add onto your CS (Bonus to Allies, not your raw stats) - multiply the ally's stats by 0.02

Eg if you hire me, multiply 3mil Spy Att/Def by 0.02 - this is the amount of spy Att/Def that will be added to your CS.

    * When I refer to CS I am talking about the stats you normally use to tell people how big you are. I feel like people are getting confused between BFA and BTA.

  4. This one?

    Ok, lets use this example...

As Kezzer says The account with a level 3 castle gives a bonus to its owner of 60,000 defense (2% of that account's raw stats)
If I own that ally I receive 100% of their "BTA" (why is this BTA and not BTO?)
I don't quite understand where this "waste" part comes in...

  5. Read my example BobbleZ.
It's 2% of the 60,000 that is added to your CS.

You get the 60,000 added to your raw stats, but to convert it to the measure you normally use to measure stats (BTA) you find 2%.

Follow me if you need help.

  6. The waste comes in where you receive the full 60k of their "BTO" stats, which is added to your raw stats. So in actuality only 2% of that 60k counts.

The OP is all about how hiring allies and building BFA is better than upgrading, hence the waste.

  7. It is a tad confusing because of terms and acronyms. Breakdown!

You do not receive the full amount of stats you see on an allies profile that you own.

(idevice)on your profile you will see "bonus from allies"(droid it is shown under your allies tab). This is the total amount from all the allies you own.
The stats that make up this number is the stats you see on each owned ally's profile(their BTA).

The bfa you see on your profile, you only get 2% of it.

Basically, everything in kaw that "you" can see with stats, besides your "bonus to allies" on your profile, you can only received 2% from it... In a nut shell.

  8. It's not a "waste" as mango said. She was simply saying the bonus is insignificant.

    2% of 60,000 is 1200.
So add 1200 onto your CS, that is the bonus you get.

  9. No that's not what im saying lol. The bonus is very much significant if youre buying big allies.

But it is still a waste of gold, at least initially, referring to the OP topic.

  10. Simple answer... start thinking in raw stats.

Everything is in raw stats from spells and pots to equipment and clan bonus. This also goes for BFA...

  11. BFA is a raw stat, yes. But it is derived from cs, which is not a raw stat.

  12. When looking at people to accept into clans people often look at cs. Other than that all other values are in raw stats hence I prefer to use them.

  13. Seriously, does everyone else look at their equipment, pots, mith, clan bonus, bfa, reset bonus etc... and divide by 50, then add that your "CS"? Seems a hell of a lot more complicated than just assessing your strength in the form the Devs have laid out for us...

  14. Actually, start thinking "now multiple by 0.02".

Next time you are ready to spend some gold on an ally or a building/upgrade, compare them like this to see what is the better gold to stat purchase.

Ally- ally stats * 0.02= (combined stats you would receive)

Level 1 Building of equal cost- (atk strength * max troops)* 0.02=xxx
    (Defense * max troops)* 0.02=xxx

Xxx+xxx= combined stats of level 1 building

    I do, yes.

  15. One thing everyone failed to mention is that Ally prices are not fixed, while building cost are. If ally cost is lower than the build cost and 2% of Ally CS is equivalent to the building.

Once upon a KaW time that might be a possibility, but alas, the inflation on ally had killed that possibility.

  16. The reason people use the bonus to allies system to assess CS is because it's the only global way of comparing stats?

  17. I haven't touched an Apes game in ages and I can assure you that anything I have to say as far as game mechanics and algorithms go are far more notable than Mango's, even without that shiny badge. She's just a guideline(I say guideline because we all know they aren't really rules if you're an 'insider') enforcer. No brains needed to be green.

  18. You sort of contradicted yourself aha.
I'm agreeing with you, it is wasted gold for the bonus given it could be spent on upgrading buildings.

  19. Won't bother to read the rest of this post because I can't finish these sentences without laughing my hiney off.

  20. You seriously like condescending Mango :/
