It's been a while since I've touched an Ape app. Last I had, I noticed that a large number of players had only a enough small allies or mercs or what ever you want to call them to reach their maximum in plunder gains. It seemed that not everyone was aware of how much they could change the tides of battle. Now before you guys think I'm some moron like Mango, I'd like to say I know. I know, I know, I know some of you are thinking. "Jam, you're dumb, the reason we don't buy allies is because we don't want to run the risk of being plundered. "Jam, we don't buy allies because we'd rather upgrade!" "Jam, I don't buy allies because I'm mango, and mangoes are special." Yes. Yes they are. If you already knew this, then this article is not for you. Now, let's dive in. We're going to take a peak at a profile and figure out what some of these numbers mean(assuming that I remember correctly). The numbers with the RED markings represent the strength YOUR ALLIES GIVE YOU. The numbers with the BLUE markings represent the strength YOU GIVE YOUR OWNER. "Wait a darn minute, Jam! Mango told me that's my strength." Well there's where you went wrong, kiddo. You listened to Mango.. Your strength is actually appropriately labeled above those numbers, under the 'Your Stats' section. Key to the markings- RED - Current Army Strength BLUE - Army Strength Capacity GREEN - Current Troop Count ORANGE - Maximum Troop Count You still follow? Your strength is right there in red! Your current army strength directly corresponds with the number of troops that are alive. The less troops you have, the weaker you get. This is where allies tie in. Let's just pretend I have a full army camp(hah, right) and no allies. My stable clocks in at an amazing 15,000 Horsepower that's 30 Horsepower PER HORSE! WOW! The first few hits will pack a punch. But as the battle goes on, my men fatigue. Half way through my army's lost a lot of its get up. The last attack only weighs in at 600HP. Humiliating. If I were to buy the most basic ally ever. More basic than Mango. We're talking straight-out-of-the-tutorial-basic (400/200/150/150). That attack wouldn't be 600HP. It would be 1000HP! I don't know of a single mod that could gain so much Ponies in 1 go! Amazing, truly! I took it a step further a further. Not stopping until my build had over 100,000HP gained from allies. Imagine the 0-60 on that.. Allies are like a hidden weapon and secret defense. Especially when held in large numbers. A man like this one would think "Hah. 300 defense. Easily penetrable. 300 attack. No chance for retaliation." When in reality I have over 40,000HP more than him at full strength that gap would only increase as he attacked me. Ah, my cup of tea is all finished and so that concludes today's lessons. Shame really, I could ramble on forever about this type of stuff. Last thing, keep this in mind next time you're thinking of upgrading rather than investing in something greater.
Sorry, you're wrong. Build cost per stat gained is much higher with upgrading buildings. The only reason to buy allies once at MP is if you are build complete. (BC being so far away removes the incentive to buy allies, which in turn removes the incentive to strip/osw) I figured with all the effort making these pics the information would be correct. Don't spread misinformation.
Your whole premise is wrong given i actually know a little about allies. Nice try start again. Nevermind you missed the giant fact that only 2% of their stats count for anything. So upgrading is far far better than any ally buying if you arent BC and looking to grow.
 Mango, there's a reason why I chose you. You realize that 100% of their Ally Bonus counts.. Right? You're still thinking that your bonus to your owner is your stats.
No one uses their raw stats to describe their strength, they use their BTA because 1) it directly correlates with your raw stats; and 2) its smaller and easier to understand. Your "40,000 HP" is actually 800 BTA, which is pretty much nothing within the first hour of playing. Go be an idiot elsewhere.
Does no one else realize that OP is actually right? Yes, your allies only give you two percent of their strength. Hence why your Bonus To Allies is 2% of your raw stats and your Bonus From Allies is 2% of theirs. KaW even does the math for you  I mean unless you guys are trying to say that your allies only give you 2% of their bonus to allies, which is already 2% of their total strength...
That is what it is Ares. Their Bonus to Allies is the raw stats they provide you, not the equivalent of your bonus to allies. By your logic, a BC build buying another BC build would be 2x stronger than a standard BC build. That isn't how it works.
My stats is less that what you'd get from a maxed out Titans and SOS. And I cost a trill where as that will only cost something like 30bil. That's how you're wrong
They should, and here's why. You say it directly correlates with your "raw stats"(think you meant Your Stats), eh. It reflects your armies maximum strength potential. Which in a way provides a sense of false strength. Strength you do not possess more than half the time. You also say it's smaller so it's easier to understand. Well that is simply laughable. A number is a number. If you can't understand a big number any better than you can understand a small number, you need to go back to school.
