Pets This idea, I believe, has come up briefly in earlier years but I saw -grizzy- make a post about pets and pet equipment and dungeons so I though I would write down my thoughts on it in this thread and you guys can give some feedback! If it gets enough support I would want to email this to the devs to consider. Types of Pets I was thinking that pets would drop according to EB style. Like animal type pets like a wolf or wild boar would drop from The Calydor/Z'uthmerak. So here's the breakdown. Tier 1 Pets(animals): Drop from Calydor/Z'uthmerak EBs. Tier 2 Pets(Humanoid monsters - Trolls, orcs, or skeletal beings): Drop from Usaris - Apherium. Tier 3 Pets(Nature beings - Ents, dryads, or fairys etc): Drop from Hawthorn only. Tier 4 Pets(Serpent pets - dragons/snakes etc): Drop from Moutos - Sveruganti. Tier 5 Pet: This would be the single best Pet in game which would only be available from a rare PvP drop. Pet stats Pet stats would be separate from your own. Here's just a rough breakdown of what stats might look like for the different tiers (Keep in mind that not all pets in the same tiers will have the same stats. Example: A wolf will have a more attack like build while a boar will have a more defensive build). Tier 1 base stats: 75-100k Tier 2 base stats: 125-200k Tier 3 base stats: 225-300k Tier 4 base stats: 325k-400k Tier 5 base stats: 425k-500k As you level up your pet their stats will increase. The max level for a pet would be Level 40. Pet will level up from completing Dungeons. These stats would be the lowest levels possible and only count towards one type of stats. Example: Let's say I get a Panther (Tier 1 pet). Panthers are on the stealthier side of things so my Panthers base stats would be Level 1 Panther Attack: 0 Attack defense: 0 Spy attack: 80,000 Spy defense: 80,000 Level 40 Panther Attack: 100,000 Attack defense: 100,000 Spy attack: 1,000,000 Spy defense: 1,000,000 As you can see 1,000,000 spy might not be a ton for attacking another player but this is just a tier 1 pet and there is also pet equipment. Energy Pets would all have an energy bar. Certain pets may have more energy than others and you can increase your energy pool with special pet equipment. Base Energy stats for each Tier: Tier 1: 15 Tier 2: 17 Tier 3: 20 Tier 4: 22 Tier 5: 25 Energy can be used Two different ways. The first way would be completing dungeons to gain rewards. The other would be attacking other players / pets. Each attack on a player or other pet would cost 1 energy. Energy CANNOT be used to attack Epic Battles. Obviously pets would add a new aspect to PvP but to prevent this from getting too crazy, Each energy would take 1 hour to regen. So a full recharge for a Tier 1 pet would take 15 hours. Now that we've discussed Energy let's talk about how Pet vs Pet PvP would work. Each Pet would also have a health bar. Deplete this health bar and the pet gets injured and will need time to heal. During the healing phase the pet cannot attack or be attacked until he is full health again. The healing phase would take around 12 hours for each pet or you can instantly heal for 20 nobs. Energy can also be instantly filled for 30 nobs and can only be refilled 1x per day to prevent some PvP abuse that could occur. Pet dungeons There would be 10 dungeon tiers. To access these dungeons you would press the Quests tab then there would be an option to enter dungeons. This would take you to the different dungeons. Also, Dungeons will level up your pet. As your pet levels, dungeons will become easier to complete. Tier 1 Dungeon: Cost - 1 energy. Completion time - 15 min. To start, the dungeons are like quests. You have to complete the first before you unlock the next one. Like quests, there is a chance to FAIL these dungeons. Yes, even with the long completion times you can fail!! When you select a dungeon to attempt, your list of owned pets will come up. It will tell you which one has the highest chance of successfully completing the dungeon. Completing dungeons will grant you TWO rewards. For example let's say I complete Dungeon 1. I would receive ANY combination of two rewards from the list. This could mean I could win money twice, or Aqua twice etc... Now let's go over ENERGY USAGE. This part is VERY IMPORTANT. When you send your pet in a dungeon you can not use your pet until the dungeon is completed. While your pet is completing a dungeon, the energy you used to start the dungeon will regen normally. Example- I spend 9 energy running Dungeon 6. It takes 6 hours to complete. When my pet return it will have only "lost" 3 energy. HOWEVER, this changes once you reach Dungeon 7. From Dungeon 7 AND ON you can see that your energy would be replenished before you pet returns. As a result, ATTEMPTING DUNGEONS 7-10 YOUR PET ENERGY WILL NOT REPLENISH WHILE IN THE DUNGEON. Owning Pets Just a quick paragraph here about a small topic. You can own up to 4 different pets and equip them for different situations you want when attacking other players. HOWEVER- if you use up all the energy on a pet then equip another, that pets energy will also be depleted. Just a note again - Each Energy point on a pet takes 1 hour to regen. You also CANNOT send multiple pets on multiple dungeons. Pet Equipment Pet equipment will drop from Epic Battles. There will be 3 classes of equipment: Head Torso Limbs Pet equipment will be more rare than regular equipment. Same as regular equipment, pet equips will be enchanted through the Mage. There is also one set of equipment (a set being one piece of armor from each slot) that can only be attained through PvP. This armor set would have the highest stats in the game. Pet equipment can get 3 different types of stats. First is obvious - regular attack/defense and spy attack/defense. Second, some equipment can buff your pets health if you want to to survive more hits. Third, some equipment can increase your energy pool or give you other dungeon bonuses like decreased completion time for those that would want to farm dungeons. Other random aspects Naming your pet- Pet name tags will drop from Epic battles. These can be used on your pet to name them whatever you like. Pet name tags can also be purchased from the Oracle at a cost of 20nobs. As this idea progresses I would like to make a list of all the possible pets and I would want to give each pet a special ability. If you support say so!! The devs won't listen if the community doesn't back it. Also, if you have tips/ideas post them on this thread. Or if you find any flaws in the way this works let me know and maybe we can fix it. I've tried my best to think of ways from making pets too overpowered and making some think cost nobs for the devs Anyways, thanks for reading!
this is such a cute idea .itd be so sweet to have a tamagotchi pet on the kaw screen to interact with.
The post does seem to be too long for most to want to read (strange coming from me). Perhaps only give part of the dungeon info given that the numbers are only proof-of-concept. That should help condense the topic. EDIT: You can also remove the extra spaces between the individual tiers in the first two sections. You don't lose anything consolidating there.
Sounds like adding pets/Tamagotchi to the game, No thanks. Dungeons sound like new quests which request devs have conveniently ignored.
While an interesting idea, I feel like it takes away from the overall "seriousness" (for lack of a better word) of the game.
