Because purchased inferno has less chance to succeed than dropped inferno, buying something with xtals is just stupid use them on your EB and pray for a drop, most players have known for a long time that bought Aqua or Inferno fails more than dropped.
Or just lower the cost of inferno. I'd pay gold for it if it were cheaper. It takes weeks to save inferno only to lose it all on fails or on eq that is useless by the time it is fully enchanted.
Increase drops period. The fact that some EBs still drop 3 aqua/inferno is ridiculous considering how expensive UGs have gotten. So I'd say at least, if not exceed, double the amount dropped per drop. The minimum per drop should be at least 10. The maximum dropped should be 30. Make EVERY EB that drops Aqua/Inferno randomize the drop between those numbers. 30 - 1% 29 - 1% 28 - 1.5% 27 - 1.5% 26 - 2% 25 - 3% (Top 10% of drops) 24 - 3% 23 - 3% 22 - 3% 21 - 3% 20 - 3% (Top 25% of drops) 19 - 5% 18 - 5% 17 - 5% 16 - 5% 15 - 5% (top 50% of drops) 14 - 10% 13 - 10% 12 - 10% 11 - 10% 10 - 10% (100% of drops covered) I think even if a minimum amount dropped per EB would he fine. Lets say for an EB that there is a minimum amount of Aqua / Inferno drops based on how long the EBs assigned time is. So HTE (6 Hours) will have a minimum of let's say 4 Inferno to player and 4 aqua to player drop. That meaning at LEAST 4 players will get inferno drops and at LEAST 4 players will get Aqua drops. With this same forumala TSG (15 hours) will have a MINIMUM of 10 inferno to player and 10 aqua to player drops. This meaning at least 10 players will get Inferno drops and 10 players will get Aqua drops. With these instituted the constant flow of Equipment from events and the price range they are at would actually almost be workable. (THIS formula would benefit BOTH players who choose to play and players who choose to pay to play)
We have enchants that cost 20+ of both. The "every now and again" drops of 12-6 of just one, and thats from an hte, do not encourage people to even attempt to upgrade anymore. I sure as hell wont be visiting the mage ever again.
Buy it, I could understand if you were complaining about having to buy aqua for 5 xtals, but I wouldn't complain over something you can easily get in game without paying xD
Buying it is stupid as devs have stated it's fail rate is increased. That and why would anyone not paying buy it when it takes forever to get anywhere near BC as is. There's tons of other better ways to spend gold. Building, pots, allies,stripping allies, etc. Anyone wasting gold on inferno deserves the increased fail rate.
As a drop there shouldn't be any reason why players have to pay for inferno unless they're missing the oddball 1 or 2 that it takes to complete (and I use the word loosely) an enchantment. The fact of the matter is that equipment takes such an ungodly amount of both these days to fully enchant that the drop rates simply aren't enough and if by some chance a player does buy them, they're spending an exorbitant amount of money considering the fact most still need to save for their lands and buildings. The drop rates should be increased to at least match the current rate of KaWflation, the cost of enchantment needs to be lowered or the mages fail rate needs to be decreased. It's extremely disheartening to spend literally weeks if not months saving up Aqua/inferno to have it gone in a matter of moments due to the mages incompetence.
Drop rate should also match the damn failure rate to. You can lose months of saved up aqua and inferno in 4 or 5 failed enchants. The challenge is all ready present with the amount of time needed to obtain enough to attempt an enchant. The fail/reset is like a deterrent to work for the aqua and inferno. And its not like the devs didnt just sucker many us out of our supply by releasing new eq of the same type. I wasted over 800 of each when that 5 part series began.
Along the same thought; You know all that equipment we have fully enchanted and don't use? How about a way to get some, if not all the aqua and inferno? So items are never used so why keep them. Just this noobs 2 cents
You cant just increase inferno drops without increasing aqua drops as well. Some people have more aqua than inferno
I agree! The drop rate should either be increased, fails lowered, or enchantment cost lowered. It's almost impossible to enchant the new equipments because of the price, and that new equipments are being released often.
I'm starting to run out of aqua from spending inferno XD It's better off staying as it is. But personally I think they should be dropped from more eb. From a smaller stat player prospective no one hardly does the frozen city. What is they don't spend to win. That's rotwb and hte crossed out and other ebs that drops them are bigger and harder ebs
