NEW WAR CRYSTAL IMPLEMENTATION

  1. The community has asked for war crystals for almost as long as EE wars have been around. The devs have paid lip service to the idea but have repeatedly said that the implementation is too difficult. I have thought of the solution for which the devs need only adapt existing technology.

    What I propose is that instead of creating a second class of crystal used exclusively for war, the devs offer up a normal health crystal. Of course it's nothing quite so simple as giving a free crystal but rather a 2 step process.

    After war, if a kingdom used a regeneration (nob or xstal), as part of rewards they will be given a token of some sort. I thought of "quartzite". By itself this does nothing. It's like a land token or crux chest. The devs can easily determine who used a regen because they currently offer the potential for any kingdom to get a crystal refund after war.

    As for the second part, as with a crux chest or land token, a new item in the marketplace is made available. When purchased, this item, possibly named "alchemical refinement", combined with the "quartzite" to give a normal health crystal.

    The only thing to be determined would be the cost of the "alchemical refinement". I think it would have to be expensive but at the same time not so onerous as to make this idea a practical impossibility to benefit from. My thought was looking at nob turn in rates. I think the maximum rate is about 25-30B/15 nob turn in at the oracle. I think this gives a significant premium for returning an xstal from war, but isn't too expensive overall.

    TLDR:

    1. Use xstal in war, drop war health token after war

    2. Buy war token key in marketplace for 25-30B (devs can adjust price up or down)

    3. You get normal health crystal returned to inventory.
     
  2. Have normal xtals purchasable with mithril but they can only be used for ee whatever ive always liked the war xtal idea so support.
     
  3. This is a great idea and it is easy to implement. I hope Devs support this.
     
  4. I would rather this item be something that combines with mithril, as its a war style process.

    I understand that gold would reduce some small amounts of inflation in gold, but it's not convenient for the devs. Mith would be a much more challenging target to work towards.

  8. Didn't devs already address this by making part of the winnings in some wars xtals?

  13. The idea is not to use war winnings to gain crystals; it's to offer an alternate way to replace one you used during war.

    The major problem with this suggestion is that it allows accounts such as my sh with 2965 mith to simply cash in for xstals.
     
  14. This is certainly the best way to support devs and wars, however, it also cuts off an avenue for many people who play kaw only casually to participate fully in wars.

    The devs have stated that a secondary class of war crystals cannot be programmed so I have offered up a novel and completely workable solution to their dilemma.
