Yes another EE War thread

  1. My limited way of seeing clan war formats n i leave it to the gurus to correct me:



    Round Wars (IWar with roster control) used the dynamic of LB/SH plunder ability that was unequal goin n both direction as in give n take. If u could not assemble a similar roster u were hooped. Simply put not enough to go around that limited how many war clans could compete.
    LB crushed Tanks n SH ran amok.

    Primal War removed BFE/BFA in the effort to Remove what Round war roster had proven out to be too elitist. Fair enough. Hansels now had a format that allowed them to war effectively.
    Hansel stacking is a visit to the past that Round War taught us. Either match up a similar roster or risk losing before starting. Tanks cannot find enuf plunder from hansels n cannot stop hansels overpowering them from the start in gaining control at will.

    Indi Wars came along that allowed all ppl to war n not subject to being accepted by war clans.

    Freedom at last

    War once again started to flourish n overall consensus is war is once again fun n more ppl participate in this format.

    Lookin at an overview of clan wars reveals both the pros n cons of both yet they also reveal common denominators that scream out.
    Build type dominance.
    Roster structure.
    - round was hi/lo cs
    - primal hansel stacking
    Gross stat match up anomalies

    Now pause for a moment looking n look at why IWar is popular n a fair playin field overall. CS n BFE n BFA r all on like Round War was.
    Clans r rostered in tiers. These both allow a fun n fair format

    My overview to tweak clan wars is use IWars format that includes the same principles.

    CS hi/lo ranges r non-existent so that requires limiting the cs differential top to bottom.
    Assorted builds r randomly put into teams.
    The Q becomes how this is to be done once n for all to mitigate the earlier mentioned issues.
    The gurus knowing mechanics inside out produced ideas i have to believe r good since idk enough to disagree with.

    My simplistic view is tiering meaning total clan CS/BFE/BFE with a hi/lo factored in.
    The weighting of the 3 stat components need tweaks that gurus can provide.
    The HI/LO is the devs dept. iWar is proof.
    Both require that the Devs n a War advisory council work together on the format.
    A 2-way info highway brings both sides together so both interests have equal representation to achieve a singular goal.

    Implementation:
    Why trials of course whether 1 or more.
    Test as much as needed n tweak it to if anything becomes apparent n needing immediate attention.
    Testing will be enjoyed by the war community with the lure it is something new.
    We Own It thread shows the motivation efforts ppl have put forth. The genesis of this can go forward as a starting point.

    Summary:
    Any effort to reach out and offer more warring will whet our appetites.
    ASW Round Primal n Indi all have produced data good or bad but to be expected.
    The war passionate ppl r here n waiting.

    If war formats stay status quo why not have more war events?

    ASW was top 10k
    S5 was ALL IWar

    How about a similar war event like ASW without 10k restrictions using 3 Tiers.

    Abyss Class War
    HoarFrost Class War

    - War Vault with a 5-10% tax
    --- at wars conclusion War Vault opens
    - WC is a nuisance n can be toggled off
    - BFE stats alteration after War matches up
    --- INITIAL total BFE stats cannot increase
    --- warriors can Re-Juggle EQ in anyway
    - add War stats to Player profiles
    - 1/4 yearly weekend Tourney akin to ASW
    --- an annual EE War road map released
    --- KaW supplies SS for all wars
    ------ ONLY Att Att/Def Spy/Att Spy/Def
    --- Mith EQ prices reduced to 25-500
    ------ Newer ppl have more incentive to War
    ------ Bigger Event EQ stats support above
    - release an ASIA/AUSSIE 2am PST war
    --- long overdue n GMT is awake to war
    --- IWar to be the format played


    Anything i miss?

  5. Look at how many ppls doing EE during s1 2 3 4 5 and those offseasons; we know why ppls doing EE and leaving EE

    S1 2 3 - more than 1000 pls cast woc even they complain bad match up or nmf

    S5 - 300 to 500

    So the reason of ppls doing ee :

    1. They want rewards !!!!!!!!
    2. They want fairly match up
    3. They prefer clan war and can use their bfe7/bfa that work hard from ee/eb/event ??

    devs of course knows how to fix EE, but that would just decrease their income from pve events.

  7. Glad you made this. It was hard to understand you on the other thread. Don't see why improving primals means we have to shoot down indi wars.

  9. The devs actually tried working with the kawmmunity on this once. It didn't work out because people kept whining and complaining. Devs kept saying that no matter what they try, people always find a way to exploit the system

    The real problem with the matchup system is the same as it's always been - there just aren't enough participants. So rather than trying to fix the matchup system, they should find a way to increase participation, and the matchup problem will fix itself

    less rewards, less ppla to war, harder to make fairy match up
     
  11. No the match up systems just screwed  not too long ago 7 clans casted the 2 smallest clans were separated by about 20mil cs while the biggest of all 7 clans was like 5x their size, so the smallest clan matched the biggest while the clan that was 20mil cs bigger got a NM 

  13. The point is the current system matches the smallest clan casted against the largest clan casted when their is a clan nearly the same size casted which makes no sense

  15. Look, I'm no statistician, but if the formula wasn't matching clans randomly, but instead pitted highest against high and lowest against low, don't you think people would be able to figure that out and then rig matches?

    Again - the only solution is to have more participants to increase the pool of random matches that more closely match their own stats.
     
  16. Should just be warring for fun but nowadays its all about the rewards I think that's the only reason why people do ee to get mith sad really.
     
  17. Rather have it where clan wars you all are given a build at match up all wars will be fair and fun again and will be more strategy than a all Hansel roster tank\sh whatever I'm sure devs can put these things in place but the fact is events make more money why fix ee.

  19. Blaming the matchups when ppl choose to be sh. They want to stay small stats knowing they gonna get drstroyed by bigger ones is also their choice lol.

    @tom : well said, more rewards more people and high chance of fair match up.

    Need new war equipment that should give better stats or atleast slightly higher than event equip.
