Lately there has been news going around about NASA possibly sending humans to Mars in order to live on it. These 20 or so people are volunteers who will choose to give up their lives and family/friends to adventure the mysteries of Mars. Since technology isn't as advanced enough yet, the trip would be a one way ticket to eternity on Mars. This mission could improve our understanding of the planet and prove whether or not it's possible to live on the planet. But most importantly, is there life on the planet and can we survive? And so that is just a bit of background to lead into my main question: Given the chance, would you give up everything on Earth to live on Mars? (Or also post your opinion on the ideas or if you think there may be aliens or something like that lol) (Will be edited to keep up to date and fixed if any wrong info was put)
And for those that believe there are aliens or Martians, what do you think they will look like? Friendly or foe? OR
Yes. I'd have Martian babies and raise a family there, and be the first human to have a family outside of Earth On a real note, if it was a rare opportunity, I'm sure many would take it.
Some lady being interviewed on the news that signed up for the possible trip(or something), said she would leave her husband and two young sons to go live on mars... Wtf, thats kinda messed up. Maybe if she was a scientist who had been studying mars or similar stuff i could understand. The research and discoveries would be amazing, but for a person who isnt experienced or work in that field, wtf are you gonna do on mars? Sit in a bubble all day staring out a window? Yeah, totally worth giving up your family... Forever.
i heard they are already applicant, interviewed, tested, and currently in training. i dont know its with NASA or not. http://www.mars-one.com/
