Yah I'm pretty sure a lot of people do that but to get them to not do that. You involve the younger ones.
I dint support this idea, and for several reasons. When we've run beta stuff in the past, ATA has had to set up a seperate server for us. They also have to make a seperate and special "beta app" for us to do run our stuff. This is very very costly, so, setting up yet a different server just for little kids to play on would not be cost effective. Also, although doing beta work is tons of fun (it honestly is a blast) there are expectations that come with it. Devs are paying thousands of dollars for insightful feedback. They are also looking for clever people that can break the system so that they can patch leaks. Kids who played beta and went "WOO NEAT!" Or, "that was fun! Can you now make the EB hit back?" Would be a facepalming waste of time and money. Sorry
Another point.... Kingdoms at war is to many a game, but to ATA it's a multi million dollar app. Although most 13 year olds think they could make valuable contributions to a business like this, most really can't. ATA tried handing the keys over to kids a few times, and EVERY TIME, it's burned them. On the flip side, I do understand why kids would want to do beta. Beta is fun! Drinking alcohol is fun too. However, these are things that are reserved for those who are older. With age comes fun stuff. Be patient. When you hit the right age you'll be able to do more fun stuff ;-)
Aaahhhh..... Ok. Well, there are some things you can do then, actually. Kaw is always changing and it does try to be responsive to the community. Believe it or not, EVERY email is read at ATA headquarters. If you have feedback you can email it to them and know it will be reviewed. You can also make forum threads with suggestions. The devs read forum every day and are actually famaliar with many if the positive contributors.
I actually did email them this idea and I was told to try the forums. But hey give me about a week I'll have a more detailed thread with pros cons and stuff.
Awesome! Forums are a great place to offer ideas. If they can withstand community scrutiny, they are usually pretty good. I look forward to hearing your ideas here in the future
For once, I completely agree with Killzone. Majority of players on this game are above the age of 9. iOS should allow the bar to be raised to 13+ (personally I'd prefer 18+)
If no one has any more ideas? Then I request a lock! Hopefully next week I'll have a more detailed one out. Thank you for your participation.
You clearly can't comprehend what I was saying. Not once did I say to dissipate the age group below 18. For one, thats impossible. I simply stated to make this game 18+ only. Which will open a lot of doors, but at the same time not stop players under the age of 18 from joining... Because you can't stop people from lying. So in the end, everyone wins.
There are adult-only explicit apps. So I doubt this is true. But yes like OP stated, that would work as well. Looking forward to your new thread OP. Not sure if you have posted it yet or not.
Making this game 13-18rated would put more pressure on parents to monitor there kid's activity (which should be done already. Just ad a "are you 13-18" older warning & that takes all legal problems off ata
