  1. Please give a nod to the best war commanders in EE. Be sure to say why you feel they deserve recognition. This is meant to simply be a nice forum to give a shout out to those who work hard to make a war successful for all.
If there is a similar post to cover this my apologies I haven't seen one.
I can say for those who wc and track and devote their time to a war's success: this buds for you

  2. Eisenhower.
    Napoleon.
That guy that won the StarCraft championship.

  4. Eisenhower - only 5 star general in U.S. history
Napoleon - likely the last French ruler to win a battle
Starcraft... Unsure which intrepid soul holds that honor.

  5. We forgot Alexander the Great. And Hannibal.

  6. I thought about Hannibal. But Romans rekt him.
    Alexander, yes. Definitely deserves praise.

  7. And Leonidas.

  8. Leonidas is debatable. A good commander, sure. But weren't all Spartans bred for war?
Scratch out Leonidas, let's say all Spartans are good commanders.

  9. Hannibal may be deserving of recognition. But he used elephants so may irritate the PETA folks.
Alexander may be good as it fits with the current trend to fly the rainbow flag.

  10. Ghenghis Khan.

  11.
  12. That might be a good one but then again why would 10,000 waste time building a wall that didn't stop him?

  13. Leonidas serves credit simply for telling the Persian legate that if he wanted their arms to come and get them.

  14. Atilla the Hun

  15. Anyone named "Hun" should likely come from Baltimore. Disqualified

  16. Five-Star Generals and Dates of Rank:

General of the Army George C. Marshall: December 16, 1944

General of the Army Douglas MacArthur: December 18, 1944

General of the Army Dwight D. Eisenhower: December 20, 1944

General of the Army Henry H. Arnold: December 21, 1944
(Redesignated General of the Air Force pursuant to Public Law 58, 81st Congress, approved May 7, 1949)

General of the Army Omar N. Bradley: September 20, 1950

  17. You're aware that Eisenhower was reportedly a terrible general right? Politics my boy politics.

  18. You get right in there and learn that boy!

  19. Joshua

    Never defeated in war.
