KaW - First Impressions

Discussion in 'Other KaW Discussion' started by Dictionary, Aug 8, 2015.

  1. Contemplation led me to relive the moments of the past.

Particularly the time when a school friend introduced me to this game, and how eager I was to try an app which is able to cause insane vibrations to occur in the thumbs of many people, slowly but surely denting the screens of thousands of mobile devices across the globe.

    This got me thinking:
What were your first impressions of the game when you had just begun playing?

Me personally, in the first few moments I thought KaW was a sad little mobile MMORPG. I compared it to Dungeons and Dragons because (no offence intended), I saw DaD as a game for geeks, which KaW initially felt like. In this sense, it's hilarious how much I later got hooked.

    So yeah.
I'll now hand over the baton to you forumers out there.

  2. My first impression of this game was that it sucks and it's boring.

Now I think it doesn't suck that bad. But it does suck how pay2win it is.

  3. Yep, and your second point is exactly how most of us feel lol.

  4. My first impression.. I closed the app and forgot about it for a week or two.

After seeing the app again i decided to give it another go. This time i found forums and some actual help.

Found out about clans and vollies. I started to like the game.

  5. It was fun. Great community, diverse personalities, engaging forum, immersed dev team, players starting to form connections, and grow power.

Now, it's still alright. I've come back to play, and found it very different, but still enough to hold my attention. Lots of shiny new features. I just wish it was still growing, and there was more doing of, rather than simply listening to, community suggestions.

  6. All these responses are hitting it on the nail.

  7. I actually came from PIMD, so I had some idea how to play. I thought it was super confusing at first, though, because there were so many more features and things work kind of differently here. So I just deleted the app, and went about my life. About a month later, I got back into it, and actually found a clan to help me. I used to adore it. It was my flesh and blood. Now, it's more of a "peek in" thing.

  8. I kept thinking 'whts this strange game iv come across' now I think 'whts this strange game im hooked on' For me, The ppl i meet make it wht it is

  9. "Wow I can chat w/ people."

"you all are noobs, just wait."

    "what's a castle code?"

I got hooked quickly. I made a few nooby threads, which I got pinned for, and learned a bit from that too.

  10. I liked it. Didnt attempt to purchase an ally til i was about 5 mil cs lol. (On a different acct)

  11. Lel. I remember xstalling to complete quests + buying dozens of xstals before wasting them on the Awakening when I had 0 bfa :p
