While almost all OSW players wish they were able to reap some type of compensation, the main reason for this is that it is frustrating to see EE players be compensated so greatly for playing some crappy time limited back slapping hippie fest... While they are worried constantly of strips, being placed in CA, moles, traitors, smack talk and personal vendettas with no physical game prize compensation. Osw are usually personal in nature, and the goal is to smash the worthless trash on the other side of the line drawn. While it would be nice to gain things such as mithril or percentage to plunder bonuses, it just can never be this way. I personally do not believe that people should get mithril compensation, and in such large numbers, for simply joining a roster for an hour or two. However i do not believe that the devs could ever impliment a rewards system for osw. Almost any and all reward system such as mithril payout or surrender terms can and will be abused. Players are people. And many of them greedy. They will always find some way to abuse the system. How else do you think people get so many shackles, even if hitting BL, i bet you money someone opens for them, or an alt suddenly opens for them to run crystals... Maybe not the whole event, but at least once at some point in time. EE get moles, accounts that open for enemies, and inactive players that set the stage for a loss. It just wont happen.

It's illegal if you're getting real money i.e. iTunes cards, but support usually gives mixed answers about seals. You can extort gold in game though. OP, by definition OSW's are off system. Adding rules, etc. takes away the "off system" aspect and takes away some of the fun as well.
Your right nighthawk, you always seem to miss the point when someone points something out. Nothing stopping me personally, just stating facts as to why people who play kaw as it used to be played get annoyed with payout systems like ee.
Yes the past is not the present. That is the point. I agree OSW should remain as is. EE is far behind events n EB's for payout. OSW even farther back.
More PvP EQ should be available to be won for those that OSW. Idk exactly how atm but its definitely overdue. It should not be an EB drop nor from EE.

I don't support. An off system war can have all sorts of twists and turns. While the idea is not unreasonable in many ways, it's simply contrary to KaW traditions - in an OSW, everything goes.
