The U.S./Iran Nuclear Deal

  1. Recently a little deal with the devil called the Iran Nuclear Deal (or the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action) was signed in Vienna, on July 14th, between Iran, and the P5 1 (China, France, UK, Russia, U.S., plus Germany.) As well as the European Union.
The agreement is a "comprehensive" agreement on the nuclear program of the country Iran.
Under the agreement, Iran is supposed to, key word there, eliminate it's stockpile of medium enriched uranium, and cut it's stockpile of low enriched uranium by about 98%.
They will also reduce by about two-thirds, give or take how much they lie about, the number of it's centrifuges for at LEAST fifteen years.
In addition to this, they also agreed not to enrich uranium over 3.67% or build any new facilities to enrich it, or heavy-water facilities, for the next fifteen years as well.
Enrichment activities will be cut down to a single facility using first generation centrifuges for ten years.
Most other facilities will be converted to avoid proliferation risks, which just so happens to be Iran's specialty. To monitor and verify that Iran isn't playing foul, the IAEA will have regular access to all Iranian Nuclear facilities.
This agreement provides that in return for verifiably abiding by it's commitments, The U.S., European Union, and the United Nations Security Council will raise the sanctions on Iran for their Nuclear activity.

I... Words fail me. There is not a word in the English language or any language for that matter, that can describe what I am feeling right now.
And it seems many agree. Namely the thousands of protesters that have gathered in Times Square, New York City, which is arguably one of the most liberal Cities in the United States.
People are pissed over this, and very rightly so. Democrats, Republicans, Liberals, Conservatives, Donald Trump, people are mad.
Protesters are saying, and I quote,
"Washington is prepared to give Iran virtually all that it needs to get the bomb. To release $150 billion to Iran will result in the expansion of worldwide terror."

I have a question. Do you think, for one, that Iran does not have Facilities that we don't know about, hidden away in some obscure nook, patiently pumping out whichever level uranium it takes to blow the hell out of us?
You think that, Iran, who has pledged to bring us to our knees, like ISIS, is going to tell us about all of their facilities, and just roll over because they have sanctions on them? Sanctions that, mind you, haven't been hurting them a whole lot either.
But Obama is more than willing to turn a blind eye to this. Hell, Obama is more than willing to help them, FUND them, and make it easier for them to slowly plod along, and get nearer and nearer to the big one every day.
But it seems that Obama is a big believer in the Honor system, and he seems to believe that Iran is a good and honorable country.
Or does he just believe that superman is going to fly in and grab all the Uranium up, and toss it into the sun?
People have gone on record as saying the deal makes an Iranian Nuclear Bomb more difficult. More difficult. More. Difficult.
Not impossible. Not inconceivable. Just, you know, bit harder for dem dere boys to build a missile.
And we all know that Iran Is nothing if not determined. They have proved this several times.

I am a person who believes that a hawk is a better peacekeeper than a dove. Peace through Strength. Words to live by.
By the rolling over and letting Iran keep ANY of it's nuclear materials, we are broadcasting a powerful message to any other rising terrorist powers hoping to make the big one some day.
They have openly said "Death to America." They have gone on record as saying that their objective was to keep their program and get their sanctions lifted.
And Iran is not afraid of an army of Lions, led by sheep. And no matter how many lions gather in New York, it doesn't change the fact that we have a sheep leading us, and many are blindly following him as he leads us downhill.
Bottom line is, Iran is a Terrorist power, and a Terrorist power should not be allowed to keep their Nuclear Facilities, Materials, or anything of the sort.
If anybody in the White House hand stones of any sort, they would realize this. If Iran doesn't want to give their weapons up, then make them feel the strain.
But It won't happen. Even if Congress repeals it, our Illustrious leader will veto it, and it is unlikely, unless enough people get mad enough, that it will go back through again.
Let's pray it does, or global terrorism will have hit a home run.

  2. 5 nations signed this agreement, which does more good than harm. They would do this anyway so it at least allows for people to monitor; from multiple countries as well. Last I checked I.S.I.S. Was not part of the country of Iran and has no power diplomatically or financially, that would be a death sentence. Also: heavy water reactors only produce depleted uranium as it has to be refined to be weapons grade and converted to be used in munitions. How do you expect a country to evolve without trade? How can they fix their own situation without the exchange of money?

    Just a few thoughts

  3. The deal, to my admittedly very limited knowledge, keeps the from building said weapons, yes?

Also, having stones doesn't give you world peace. It makes you ask out the hot girl, even though her Marine boyfriend is right there.

And what would be your alternative? Giving them an ultimatum you know they won't accept? Tightening sanctions over, and over again? Neither work that well. War? You remember the last decade, and a half?

Anyways, I won't argue. I don't know enough, and I'm tired of brimstone. I'll leave it to whoever wants to, or I'll remain the quiet minority, hoping for diplomacy, trying to be nice, and assuming I won't get blown up.

  4. Interesting long post, but very interesting. Small-scale warfare is where it's at. A mobile small sorry bomb. Maybe come from Iran?

  5. The solution is simple really. Just give them a few predatory loans like the EU did to Greece. Then once they default, poof you can make them do whatever you like.

  6. Good points. They should be allowed to keep their Heavy Water facilities, as the deal states. But they can evolve through other trade means. Nuclear isn't the only option. Also, I never said that ISIS was a part of Iran, and they also have a quite a lot financially, considering the many people that have joined them and given their money to the cause.
But leaving them any means to make nuclear weapons, even butt numbingly slowly, is just caving. Until they renounce their terrorist ways, they should NOT be allowed to keep the ability to make any Nuclear Weapons, as they are a threat to the world.

  7. Can't we just bomb them already? They have proven to us repeatedly that they will kill us I given the chance....I say nuke their asses and be done with it

  8. Iran has a good percentage of the oil and gas reserves In the world and an extremely well performing stock exchange, I think they're going to be okay for awhile.

  9. Please God in heaven, smite those who long for such smiting.

Never was a big fan of the Bush Doctrine personally... So deals appeal to me. Though I'm not sure exactly which way to swing as of yet, perhaps this thread shall be enlightening.

  10. Imagine if say Germany, or Russia, ever tried to take away our weapons for being a bit war hawky, and having definite, and proven, capabilities for mass destruction against those we don't like. 

    *sorry, sorry, I'm gone.

  11. Honestly their intention is probably just to get global respect, which every country with capable nuclear weapons gets. I'm not sure if you guys know this but dropping an atomic bomb is a pretty big deal, especially now that several countries are capable of it, and it's not as simple as "we don't like them, get the nukes!". It's more evening the potential playing field.

EDIT: I would like to add they probably want Israel (nuclear weapon state) to stop messing with them also.

  12. Well, maybe not that far, but definitely something needs to be done besides more sanctions for them to shrug off. Also, whatever happened to the fact that we didn't deal with terrorists? That seemed abandoned when we brought that traitor Bowe Bergdahl back.

  13. Great point. For some reason people think just the USA should have these weapons. Because we're the good guys ya'know.

  14. Have we...
    A. Threatened all Westerners with death
    B. Threatened any other country with Nuclear Action?
    C. Threatened to kill israel's mother's and children, etc etc.

  15. Another 20yr old redneck in grade 5.
Where do these ppl come from?

  16. When Iran decides they aren't terrorists anymore, and decide to join the UN, I'm sure people will be fine with them playing like the rest of the members of the UN do.

  17. Um, we actually are the only country to use a nuclear weapon on someone. And we have threatened others, it's called nuclear blackmail.

  18. @Zeth

Change "westerners" to "middle easterners", and "Israel" to "Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)", and you have a scarily large portion of people.

  19. Yes, because we as a country have beheaded Muslims, burned them, and such. We want every Middle Easterner dead. Makes sense.

  20. Yes, because every Iranian hates America, beheads Jews, and Christians, and prays to Allah to nuke them.

    What's the rolling eyes emoji?
