new build option

  1. Hello. It's me again, you friendly (unless I'm not) moose of KaW. I just wanted to bounce an idea off the general public and see what your thoughts were on this issue.

I believe the developers want as many people as possible to participate in EE wars. I was nit directly told this, but am surmising by the amount if tweaks and effort that has gone into EE that this is so.

EE is fun, but, there is a minor issue. It's not a game breaking issue, but it is still still an issue none the less, and I think it can be easily corrected with my proposal.

The problem is addressing today is that serious EE clans require a VERY specific build, and if you do not have that build, you're relegated to the Indi wars. If you want to participate in organized EE, you will need to change your build, which is either lavishly expensive or (if you go the free route) can take months to do.

Indi wars can be fun, but, there are people who want a less random war experience that will be forever barred from it.

My solution is to sell an item in the oracle that would wipe out all your buildings and give you a full refund on everything. You can then use the cash to buy the build of your choosing.

This will allow more players to explore KaW more fully, and it will help get more people into EE.

I see several issues of potential anise, so I will address those now.

    1. We don't want people switching their builds 10 times a day. They could a use the system by going for a total attack build, hitting a specific target, then they could convert to a hansel over and over again to avoid return fire.

The answer to this problem is to make the build change option expensive. I'd say make the option $50 or so. (This number is Arbitrary. I just picked one that would make most kawers think twice before using it multiple times).

    2. The other potential abuse is that people may use this option to attack, then sell all their builds and become untouchable until they log back on at their leisure.

My answer to that issue "tokens" instead of cash to buy the buildings (and only buildings. Not land or allies) Any player that is in possession of a token is open to attacks/ steals from accounts if any size, and those attacks cause your tokens to simply disappear (expensive!)

This prevents people from turtling behind zero stats, or maki an itty bitty account with monster BFA.

Anyhow, it seems to me like a win/win. Do this, and ATA gets cash from people who want to play with different builds. EE participation may go up as a result, and players can explore more facets of KaW with out having to worry about blatant abuse of this new proposal.

What are your thoughts on this?
    Talk to the moose.

Disclaimer: although I thought of this idea, others may have too. I make no claims to originality, and if others have proposed this in the past, then I give them kudos. In a community of this size, idea replication is not only common, it's often unavoidable.

  2. If you support this, please give the community the respect of saying "why" you support it.

If you don't support it, please tell the community why you don't support it.

This is NOT a petition thread. I'm not looking for your support. I'm looking for your feedback.

  3. Upping the refund to 90-95% would be a lot simpler.

But I agree that something should be done. That is exactly the reason I don't war. I hate the build requirements.

  4. I like it I got my $50 ready to be an attk build

  5. I like that idea too. At least, at first blush I do. I haven't really trouble shot it, but, sounds good :)

  6. Yeah. Still a bit of cost involved, so it will discourage heavy abuse. But not so harsh that it would prevent people from experimenting with build changes.

  7. Make it were you can only do it once every 6 months. Make it a free mith spell( could charge if you want to) that last 2hrs. Change your build and after its used there is a count down clock untile you can use it again

  8. Support
The option should be limited tho. I like the token or $$$ idea.
I would definitely change my build occasionally to try different playing styles.
I don't think a 'gold' refund is a good idea tho. The refund should be in 'build tokens' so it can only be used on your build.

  9. Nice feedback. I never considered that angle.

  10. Moose, you have a good idea here. Here is the taught. Players get a free refund, for buildings destroyed in a 24 hour time period. This refund would be available at the Oracle. Yet, by doing so you cannot buy allies until 24 hours later, after your last building gets destroyed. Therefore, there is no inflation in the ally market, and the players are happy with there build.

Now, just like when HTE came out, it was free for the first time. But if players want to keep destroying there buildings and expect a full refund. Such alledged item to do this could be sold for $50. Players win, and the developers win.

  11. Moose is active?

  12. I have always kept a hoof in game. I've just been more quiet as of late.

  13. I personally like this idea a lot and although upping the % return from selling buildings to 75% or higher (not 100%) would be a good alternative to this the developers also need a method to make money. I don't think players should get a free rebuild at any point either arthur sorry. In order to make rebuilding viable for free to play accounts perhaps the devs should increase the return from buildings to 50% and add this idea? Just a suggestion on how to make this idea balanced with pay to play and free to play.

  14. I like it however i also supported change your build day (which was similar) and i belive devs pretty much shot down by just giving a higher percentage refund on black friday so i dont see it happening

However i do support. Bc so many want this id think the first build change should be free or cheap $10. And then yes to make sure its not abused $50 after that sounds good

Maybe instead of tokens the build change spell could give u 1hr not able to get hit similar to when casted in ee

  15. So basically 'Build day'

  16. The build tokens would have to be specific for each land or it could be abused to destroy LL and get the tokens and then use them on abyss. This wouldn't be a problem if gold was refunded but then the ally/land buy problem would happen. But would be fun to try other builds. support

  17. It would be nice if we were given 1 free build change, basically you can click on building already buildnand change it to your needs. The problem is that spy buildings habe a different cost than attack buildings, so there would be some discrepancy. It would be a pain to make it so each individual user had a way to do so... But awesome if able. Some games have free build changes, and/or like respecing in a mmo. For ex. In dark age of camelot, you could go out and farm a crystal that would allow you a stat change. So instead of being a 2H weapon user, it would refund all the spec points and i could switch to a, say, 1h/shield tank.

  18. Moose glad to see you active Old friend

I've wasted probably 20tril on build changes would of loved this option instead of wasting months of grinding, support

  19. Support good idea this would bring a lot more into ee bu those with good builds would just make them betterî„…
