Kinda sci-fi, if think about it. Start with Mad Max, then Road Warrior. Look up the rest in series and see it has been a long running classic for over 35 yrs. Next- no one has mentioned Blade Runner (1982), with Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, and Daryl Hannah. Directed by Ridley Scott.

Hey, Salty, you watch anime? Ghost in the Shell is a mad sci fi anime. The movies and series are all very well done. Not so much space themed, but definitely chock full of high technology. AI, cyborgs, vr worlds, mechas and future tech. Solid storylines, none of your kiddie stuff here, lol. And Major Kusinagi is bae. On that note, also watch Akira. No bae here, just Neo Tokyo, rampant crazy psychic madmen, super bikes and a dystopian backdrop.
