Oldies?

  1. Hi! I know this could go into WC, but I play on PC so I get no speakers. I was wondering if anyone here likes Oldie Music? If so, have any suggestions?

    My favorites are:

    Under The Boardwalk- The Drifters
A Teenager In Love - Dion And The Belmonts
    La Bamba- Ritchie Valens
    Hotel California - Eagles
I Can't Stop Loving You- Ray Charles
    Sleepwalking- Santo & Johnny
Have You Ever Seen The Rain?- Creedence Clearwater Revival

I know that's a short list, but I lost my Oldies CDs and can't remember the songs, so I guess that's a reason for this thread lol. I wanna find more oldies.

PS: I'm not from this music's time period XD I'm a 90's baby.

  3. More ew if I'm from '98?

  4. Have you ever been under the Boardwalk at Atlantic city?

  5. Other adults can relate to this but since most are just focused to the game or just lazy...
People these days are pretty different from what I've seen in the past (I'm not old I just study some of the old times).

  6. I just listen to Oldies on the radio :/. Usually good songs.

  11. This is fact.

altho i like to mix in a little Rush, S.R.C. and clapton. thats just me tho.

  12. Nina Simone, Queen, Annie Lennox, Tina Turner and Rod Stewart have made some of the best golden oldie music

  13. Limp Bizkit is from the late 90's oward
Slayer is an "oldy" from the 80's onward
Slipknot is from the late 90's onward

    Some "oldies" for you :)

  14. I love Queen. Bohemian Rhapsody is my favorite.

  15. How about some real golden oldies. Check out "Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries" sung by the Four Freshman, or almost anything by the Andrews Sisters.

Maybe some vintage Frank Sinatra or Billie Holiday may be your speed.

I have a few CDs filled with nothing but 50's Do-Wop for some long, high energy car rides.

  16. Thankyou so much :D I love this song, I just couldn't remember it.

  17. :? 90's music, old? Someone was born after 2005

  18. I love Dion DiMucci

Anyone have any suggestions from the 1950's?

  19. The Diamonds, the Moonglows, the Platters, the Capris, Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper . . .

I can't think of them all off the top of my head.

    The Chords, the Del-Vikings . . . (The Nylons - who came later, but remade a lot of 50's music) . . .
