More than 4,000 are confirmed dead and 6,500 injured. Nepal's PM says death toll could double. They are struggling there now to save more people. Thousands of people need help. There may be no players here from Nepal but maybe we can use KAW as instrument in sending aid just like what the KAW community did for typhoon victims of the Philippines.
People around the world are helping Nepal okay, stop worrying and just pray it wouldnt happen again. This is KaW! A game not a bank! If you wana donate do it yourself. And about the Philippines disaster.. It took over 1,000 players to drag THE DEVs to make a donation fee.
It's a tax write off. They are a smart, medium sized business with accountants. Obviously it depends on their current financial reports for whether they choose to do a charity drive or not (they've got enough data to see the marketing/goodwill gained from prior donation drives) If they think it's a good idea they'll do it. If you go all fanboy and start a petition and force them to, you're only hurting their profits and thus future kaw development.
I domt wanna come off to rude im srry for the loss of life but crap happens. Only reason so many victims is poor conditions they already have. Whys that go on our shoulders. I think op just wants another donations badge lol. But seriously srry to hear abt it
Do people really want a badge in a game so bad they would rather spent money on kaw (where 1% will actually be sent out) than go find a nearby donation center where 90% or more will be sent out? wow. sad ppl.
I am from nepal and I can say total death will be above 10000 many people still trapped inside damage homes almost all houses fully damaged in mountains area plus bad thing is it's not just one centerpoint of earthquake it has many points n still above 5 rector scale quakes going on and almost all Nepalis outside their homes without any cover n it's raining heavely(sorry for bad English)
I feel for the people in Nepal, but the developers are well aware what is going on over there. It's their decision on what to do. Thousands of threads saying the same thing are not gonna help anything.
If they help the Philippines and Japan, then why not Nepal? Didn't the devs had enough money from players who purchase a lot? I didn't meant to force the devs this is just a suggestion and even though devs make it I can't donate because I don't have money in banks and stuff and I'm still young to have my own money in a bank or cards (I'm not from America or other modern countries and if I had money I want it to be earned by myself)
I think this is a game and stuff happens. If KaW wasn't around there would still be natural disasters. The developers will do donation drives if they feel necessary. Stop spamming, there's already been 10s of threads on this.
Dude not for anything but there are 5000 places to make a donation These threads make me suspect that people make donations in game only for the stupid ass achievements
Not asking for a badge. Just using KAW as instrument to send our donations. Maybe half price per xtal purchase can go to the charity. If totaled, that would go a long way in helping the victims. Sending my prayers now to the poor souls there.
So you need xstals to want to donate ? You just want something for your money if you really gave a Damn you would of already donated
Pretty much bang on Steph. People who want to "donate" via KaW only do it to get the badge, get something back for their money and make themselves look better by saying they've actually donated to a worthy cause. I'm not saying you don't care, I'm saying that your intentions are not as pure as you make them seem to be.
I don't think it has to do anything with getting a badge or not, I think that it simply is a pretext to buy xtals (that are nothing else than a few pixels) with tangible money but knowing that one did contribute to a cause instead of just putting that money down the drain. Quite a few of those buying xtals during those charity events don't buy any xtals because they don't want to buy something intangible, unreal (and overpriced). But as they still would like to buy some, they need a cause. Honestly, if you are paying taxes, you are better off donating directly as you'll be able to deduct it from your taxes, otherwise ATA will just get that tax deduction. Another point is that if you do donations via in-app purchases, a third party (Apple, Google,...) will grab a non negligible portion of your donation before it even gets to some humanitarian association. If you really want to help, just send a few bucks (every penny counts) to your preferred humanitarian association. You won't get a shiny badge or xtals for it, but you'll get the satisfaction to have helped a bit out of it. Or as buddhists would tell you, it will increase your chances of a nice next life.
