All I'm hearing is that you are ASSUMING that everyone in the top 10 would rage if 1 of the 10 decided to sell the equip THEY EARNED. Being absolutely no choice of the other 9. With that stated the top 10 did not have a say in whom was in the top 10. So where do they get off trying to force there own personal issue off on the odd person out? How does 1 person selling THERE equip hurt the other 9 besides there pride or feelings? It doesn't, the deal in question would strictly between lb player and regular player in a buyer seller relationship. Thus not personally having anything to do with the other 9 members.
Top 10 Banner is about pride. The intention of the item is to show off your dedication to the event. I'll be doing an interview with some Top 10 players and see how they feel later tonight.
Pride has little to nothing to do with defeating my point beyond "Voluntary selling of there equip". I point blank stated repeatedly that they have the choice of selling or not. If there pride does not allow it then so be it. On the other hand if they choose to sell there unused top 10 items they should be allowed. Just the same as every teir be it top 10/100/500/1000 ect. Top 10 may be less likely however the option should be there all the same.
There are numerous banner winners that support this idea, they've posted on here and ive been keeping track of them. I didn't include them in the original stats however because I didn't think of it at the time and wasn't going through all the accounts again.
Are you serious? You keep jumping over the point I'm making and acting so defensive. Please respond to my next statement when you actually think about what I am saying. Whether or not voluntary, a player selling their Top 10 banner automatically makes another Top 10 achiever lose the sentimentality of their earned banner.
@Killzone I adressed that already. 2 players choosing to make a deal has NOTHING to do with the rest. If it hurts there pride then so be it! It does not degrade the value of the item to the owner. It is strictly business between 2 players. Just as I said the other 9 of the top 10 do not have the choice of forcing the 1 player to keep hold of their equipment just because of petty pride. Before you decide to call me out on the statement "Petty Pride". It would be completely petty for them to have a fit & rage because 1 player decided they needed gold more than a old banner or equipment they decided is obsolete or no longer useful to them.
Who are you to say it isn't a big deal? Where is your involvement in the promos being in top 500-10 LB. before you get defensive because I'm addressing your specific achievements it is important to bring up. How is it okay to decide something this significant for these players when you have no experience on the topic? It's like going up to a homeless man and telling him maybe you shouldn't have done drugs and lost your job. But you have no idea what the man went through to get there. You inreturn created an opinion towards all homeless men. Yes I may have stretched that, but seriously you can't decide what's best for all the kawmmunity and how big of a deal it is with no backing.
Batdog is being defensive? Nope he's just replying to your very negative views that are dead set against the black market. It's pretty obvious most people like the idea.
No, its the fact that most people are supporting a massive change in the community and not looking at all sides. They also aren't looking at the history of kaw because the mithril eq idea already failed. I support the black market as being a way to get rid of items to new players needing the lower tier. These new players get it for free but the player who sells it can automatically get the cash for it or when a new account is created.
Enough with the mith example, I clearly stated several times mith should not be sold in bulk. Combined with all mith equip would be sold at base level.
I think you believe you have some inside knowledge which no one else has... But I believe we do understand there are negatives. Everything comes with negatives. But it's clear to me that the benefits are larger. There is no point continuing this argument as you believe your opinion is right and we believe our opinion is right. You have stated all your opinions and we ours. Bickering further would just mean the repetition of the same text.
No I keep replying at everything you say as a whole and reply just you have. You just choose to ignore my post and try to pass it off as being defensive.
Support.. Very well thought idea. Actually i had similar idea of trading of unwanted items in your kingdoms in place of one which u want. This must be implenented to make this place better.
You guys aren't seeing the point of Killzone's comments. What he's trying to say is that it would make 'exclusive' items, p2p items. When you earn a Top 10 banner, it shows that you dedicated time and effort to get it. If you sell that, the entire value of a banner like that goes down, as it just becomes whoever is the richest gets the items. Therefore, nobody would care what your banner says, as you could just pay a bunch of money to get it, no effort or skill involved. So yes, I would be extremely offended to see 'exclusive' items, like top 10 banners on the market, and would be pissed at the other player.
I understand them being upset, you look past the point of its not there choice weither another players sells there equip. No one is making them contribute to the selling. Pride can be a very poisonus thing that often stops people from seeing the potential or greater good of a situation
