Thanks stinky. To tell the truth twisted Sister is a bit before my time but their old videos are awesome and I devour anything metal be it from the seventies eighties or nineties. But man Babymetal IS awesome.

My father used to play the university bar scene in his twenties so I was steeped in the electric guitar. I can't play anywhere near his level. I was always I fan of speed Metal. The more beat per minute the better. Maybe the singers need some getting used to but BabyMetal's background band is as heavy as any out they. They could have been another bubblegum J-POp act. Instead I respect they decided to throw in some thrash as well.

Ok ok.. Let's put aside the makeup and Emo and costumes for a sec and go back to a cold winter day in 1965.. In Birmingham, England.. On his last day as a factory worker at a sheet metal plant.. A freak accident left some 17 year old kid with 2 damaged fingers.. On the hand where he fretboards his electric guitar.. Now.. This kid made some thimbles out of melted plastic bottles to keep playing but something happened.. One he couldn't feel them well so he'd press and hold on the fret hard.. Two, he'd slacken the strings to be able to bend them better.. ...and lower the pitches, two to three semitones below standard tuning.. ...and if you don't know what happened afterwards, you don't know Metal..
well i played drums in rock band from like 78-84 in and around the Detroit area. Honestly most of it i dont remember as i was stoned lol old school metal like Sabbath, Madien, Zeppelin, Slayer. So keep rocking on my freind. ^_^

Now here's another story.. There was this kid from Seattle.. In the sixties at the height of flower power, he could not cut it in New York with his heavier 'simple' fretting.. So he went to England.. Really stripped down and 'purified' his chords.. And released a MONSTER of a riff in 1967!!! Which IMO was the first mainstream Heavy Metal song.. E7(9) A5 G5
