Don, outsourcing its totally fine. One can and should run his business as he please. If he wants to build a factory in Antarctica he should do so. But then don't go to cry to government to save your sorry ass when your business is screwed. Why they asked US government for bailout? Why not Canada? Why not Mexico? Why not China? Why not Russia?
@OP A few points. 1. Your original post does not indicate in anyway what follows is not an original work. You know you can edit your post, right? I just suggest making a statement saying you found it there just to cover your ass. 2. I'm not American, but your statement that Americans value freedom to use their money as they want is a bit hard to swallow. So there are no taxes in America? Who builds the roads? Airports? Who manages the sewage system? For me living in a society means you have to sacrifice your freedoms occasionally for the better good. Don't quite get what all the fuss is about. We've had Medicare in Japan for decades and I've never seen anyone complain about it. ( by the way we outlive you guys by 5 years now). 3. Americans seem to be a bit paranoid over the idea their money being used by someone who didn't earn it completely. "A six year old was in an accident, needs surgery, but his mother has no insurance and needs my tax money for it? Hell no! Let him die in the ditch." I'm my country we believe in the long run helping out those less fortunate often benefits society as a whole. We don't get paranoid about people abusing the system like Americans seem to do. Cultural differences I guess. I saw on YouTube a guy in Pennsylvania who refused to pay his school taxes cause his kids are home schooled. What he fails to comprehend is that his taxes are just as much for educating the neighborhood's children as they are for his kids. Does he really want to live in a place where the kids around him are dope fiends cause their educational system was subpar? Short-sightedness if you ask me. Just sayin'.
Frog the problem is the people who are able to work and provide insurance for their family's like a contributing member of society are abusing the system I know of a friend of mine who has two kids by a woman she gets 900$ a month from him and 1800$ a month from the government her house paid for utilities paid for and food put on the table while not doing anything but running the streets her kids are in school she can work and make up the difference that her baby daddy doesn't pay but yet she sits on her ass and has the best weave expensive clothes and drives a bmw which we the tax payers pay for
Um yes welfare can be paid for housing and food also food stamps can be used to buy other people food in exchange for cash
You just not understand how welfare works. They give you CASH money. You can pay all those bills, or buy crack. Whatever floats your boat. Hell you could give me 500$ a month food stamps and I'll show you 300$ a month cash money from selling them
She also gets social security for both kids for some unknown reason that's how she gets the 1800$ a month which is paid to her by a government check
There will always be those who will abuse a system. Just because some do it, doesn't mean we should stop. Government needs to crack down on a lot of programs.
Then is a problem with how the system is implemented not with with the system itself. Some people on wealthfare sell their food stamps for cash. Some CEOs from bailed companies bought jet planes with the money from government. How is worse to spend dollars from cash on crack than spending dollars from tax payers for jet planes? Enforce the law and prosecute the culprits. Or even more...don't make it as free money. For example in my country those who get cash as social support must do community service in exchange for those money.
Another right-wing paranoia: there are all the ppl abusing the system. Republicans offer lots of stories for this but very little stats. Fact is the vast majority on welfare are there because of necessity and would get off it if they could. Just because person Z is a cheat doesn't mean persons Y,X,W and V are also undeserving. Also saying person Z is a cheat is not a justification to denying her children healthcare. Children are innocent. Basically the "there are cheaters" argument is the way right wingers justify their cold-hearted cheapness. I say pay your taxes, help your fellow man, and stop soiling your pants over who might be cheating or not.
Enjoy: Richard Mack, Sheriff Who Refused Obamacare, Now Begs Strangers For Cash To Pay Medical Bills Richard Mack, former sheriff of Graham County, Arizona, who became better known as a virulent opponent of the national health care law known as “Obamacare,” is now begging for money from strangers online to pay medical bills for himself and his wife — because they refused to buy into an Obamacare health plan and as a result, have no insurance... ...according to his site, Mack suffered a heart attack in January and his wife began experiencing ill health late last year. Unfortunately, because Mack refused to buy an insurance plan under Obamacare, he is now without any form of health coverage. Mack has now started an online GoFundMe campaign, soliciting cash from anyone willing to give him some, in order to pay his considerable health expenses. Mack’s site explains that he and his wife are “self-employed” and therefore have no medical insurance — even though the Obamacare law is designed specifically to allow self-employed Americans to obtain health coverage. “It is difficult and humbling to say that we need your help, but we do,” the former sheriff wrote on the site. http://www.inquisitr.com/1881557/richar ... rIp07wy.99 Here's the thing. No one knows when they're going to need help. You could lose your job tomorrow and need all the programs you're complaining about. Yes, there are some people who abuse the system. They're the exception, not the rule. If you don't like it, write to your representative and demand better enforcement of the laws. Understand also that that requires people to investigate claims and make sure the system is working correctly. You can't cut staffing to agencies then complain they aren't working right or the system is being abused. Well, you can, but then that would make you irrational.
How about anything the government touched ends up a failed program, ex Medicare Medicaid, social security, VA, now we have a government health care program in which you can not find a dr that will accept your insurance or even see you in a timely manner. Don't believe me ask people who have use obama care.
In 2008, 9 US banks got a total of $175bil bailout for government. And for same year (2008) those banks payed $38bil bonuses. You payed for that. But I assume you are happy about it. Well... Is not the same like someone selling his food stamps for cash, no? Then you'd have all the reasons to be mad.
This is amazing. Csnt wait for Obama to leave. Even with the affordable health care act I can't afford my own forced health insurance that don't even need.
How about you quit exaggerating? Medicare and Social Security are two very successful programs. If you don't think so try eliminating them and see what happens. The VA has problems, but overall it works. The problem there is two wars vastly increased the number of veterans using the system and no one ensured the system would be ready to handle it. That's a failure of congressional oversight, which contrary to popular opinion these days, consists of more than just waiting for things to break then looking for someone to blame. As for a "government health care program" you seem confused as to how it actually works. There is no government insurance policy. People are buying insurance from private companies like Blue Cross and Aetna. The government is helping those who can't afford it pay for it. Your claim that doctors are refusing those polices is laughable. Doctors have no idea who's getting a subsidy and who isn't. And by all means, let's ask those who use it how they like it. "Nov. 14, 2014: Nearly three-fourths of Americans who bought health insurance through the health exchanges mandated under the Affordable Care Act rated the coverage "good" or "excellent," according to a new poll from Gallup. The ratings were similar to those of other health insurance plans." http://www.usnews.com/news/blogs/data-m ... high-marks That's almost 75% and more importantly, it's similar to those of other health insurance plans. So no, I don't believe you because you have no idea what you're talking about. You're simply spouting unsupported rhetoric.
I'm curious. If you can't afford health insurance now with the subsidies, how do you plan to afford it if the ACA gets repealed and you get no subsidy at all? Or do you plan not to get any coverage and hope you don't get sick or injured?
