This isn't an English class, shut the **** up. Who cares if he didn't site where he got it from? Jesus Christ himself blessed don to share this with the community! This is so funny
You're absolutely right. Who cares. Why should anyone care about content posted that could have legal implications that could shut down the game. No one should be responsible for what content they post. Song lyrics, pictures, movies, news articles, book excerpts.. Who cares if we don't own the rights to it. No moderator or developer is going to delete it anyways...
Also for you plagiarism people no where in the tou or privacy policy does it say you will be banned for posting something written by someone else. If that was the case all the pictures anyone post to forums with out consent would be included in this copywrite or plagiarism policy. I didn't feel the need to post who wrote this bc it is ment to be funny and along the lines of ACA or obama care to show people who are ill informed what the consequences of not fully reading what you are signing could and will have on the person or persons involved
Hmmm. OP fails to explain why all the other plumbers have gone out of business. Also fails to explain why Obama would even blink an eye over a $9500 plumbing bill. A dude making 10 mil a year and having to pay 5mil of that in taxes still has 5 mil. He's still rich. Taxes of the rich in the 1950's and 1960's were much higher than they are today. It a major reason why Americans could make so many infrastructure advancements in those decades. Slashing those taxes by regan and bush are the reason things went downhill. Don't look now, but in the last 25 years, the economy improved when a democrat was in charge while recessions came under republican watch.
I thought it was beyond obvious that Op was just sharing something he came across else where with us. And frog, I'm not really into arguing about political parties but Im confused by something. You state that the rich person(Obama) wouldn't care about a blatant price gouge, because they are rich. Then state their ability to budget a financial body that is a million times larger. Kinda an odd view.
Well, I think the OP should at least acknowledge that it came somewhere else. Say " here's a little thing I found on the net" would suffice. If he doesn't it does look like he's claiming it as his own. Considering the owners of the "happy birthday" song copywrite charge $10,000 every time someone sings it in a movie, it would be in the best interests of ATA if the OP would get off his lazy ass and at least knowledge the work is not original.
@twinky You don't understand it because the story is confusing and fails on so many levels. First of all, the character Obama in the story is not the President Obama we know. He is basically standing in for the American upperclass. A lot of confusion would be clarified if the character was given a different name. Therefore the Obama I say who "wouldn't blink an eye" at the price is not the same Obama who I say has successfully run the countries finances.
Another problem with the story is that it is equating plumbing with Heathcare as if they were equally important/trivial. Obviously they aren't. My neighbors plumbing doesn't affect me, but his Heath might since serious illness or the inability to pay for proper care means he may cease to function as a tax-paying member of society and become a burden to us all. In this way, I have a vested interest in health of the nation. As for the OP claim about all the rich dudes "opting out", maybe it's cause I'm not American, but it's mighty strange to live in a country where citizens can pick and choose what taxes they pay. In Japan, everybody who pays taxes pays for healthcare and we would never for a second moan and whine about it. But that's just us. Healthcare is common sense, a non-issue here.
Frog you fail to understand that the United States is a country founded on everyone is equally free and have the right to choose when where or how to spend their money with out a government telling them when how or where to spend it The moral of the story is make sure you read everything before you sign it bc there may be some hidden facts, charges or things you may not agree with. Just like obama care which no politician read before the bill was signed into law As for me not claiming this to be my work I did on the first page. As for your view on health care I'm glad you feel the need to pay for other people's problems. Me personally I have my own insurance and have had it for a very long time why should my health insurance increase in price from let's say from 400$ a month to 800$ a month. Just to help some one who is a career government program liver ( someone who lives on tax payers money) don't know the whole facts but it's some where from 135 million people living on welfare to 400 million in just 6 years.
Socialism=take from rich people to support less fortunate people. Capitalism=take from all the people (including the less fortunate ones) to support rich people to become richer. While that was beneficial in the past (at the end of the day rich people used to provide jobs for less fortunate ones) is not the case anymore. Those companies who get free money from government (tax extempt it is free money, money payed by less fortunate people too) stopped to provide jobs for americans long time ago. Politics are simple.
Just an example.... “75 years ago, General Motors came to our country with a dream to fulfill: turning Mexico into a prosperous nation for the benefit of millions of families. Today, after 75 years into the adventure, we have achieved goals that seemed unattainable, thanks to the efforts and dedication of Mexican talent. During the 75 years GM Mexico has been in operation, the subsidiary has produced 7 million vehicles, 20 million engines, and 4 million transmissions. GM Mexico employs 11,500 direct and about 90,000 indirect employees.” So it now appears that GM’s goal is to make Mexico prosperous, not the good old US of A! In the same press release, GM heralds its upcoming billion dollar investments in its Mexican plants (versus a $100 million investment in Rochester, New York). It should have saved the Rochester announcement for another day. GM is no less ambitious with respect to manufacturing in the BRIC countries of Brazil, Russia, India, and China. Again from GM’s annual report: “We will continue to grow our business under the Baojin, Jiefang, and Wuling brands. We operate in Chinese markets through a number of joint ventures and maintaining good relations with our joint venture partners, which are affiliated with the Chinese government, is an important part of our Chinese growth strategy.” Seems like a good match: U.S. Government Motors with China’s “national champions.” Well, Obama likes government-private partnerships. Our GM is now in cahoots with the titans of the Chinese Communist Party. GM has the other BRICS covered as well: “We are increasingly well-positioned in Russia, Brazil and India with a $1 billion investment in Russia to turn out a quarter million vehicles by 2015. GM also touts an almost three billion dollars of investment in Brazil “to increase its capacity and modernize plants in the country.” Not all these investments have turned out well. GM is shutting down in Hugo Chavez’s Venezuela. GM should be warned about doing business in Russia. Putin has a nasty habit of taking over foreign operations when they are on the verge of success. http://www.forbes.com/sites/paulroderic ... al-motors/ And yes, is the same company who got a $49.5bil bailout. That bailout costs the US government $10bil. 10billion dollars payed by all tax payers. And this is cool...capitalism at his finest. But if the government would spend $10bil to support the less fortunate ones, the middle class (with the only connection to capitalism is probably having 10 Apple stocks) will rage about socialism.
Actually the rich have more tax restrictions than the poor which means the rich pay triple or quadruple what the middle class pay in taxes which is the reason for no jobs being created. Just like any business if there is no profit why do it. Less taxes on the rich those people will create jobs but even if the rich pay less taxes they still pay more than the middle class. Elementary school economics
400 million? Are you borrowing citizens from Canada to get that figure? Usa population 2014: 318million I find it hard to believe that you imported 72 million people AND the entire population is on welfare. Coming from the UK, a welfare state and arguably one of the fairer and better run ones, I've often wondered if that money would be better off spent on the defence budget, it still wouldn't match the usa defence budget... But would be mighty impressive for a small island. It's such a shame that our politicians and public felt that it was a responsibility to look after each other. If we didn't... We would be able to go landing troops in places we have no real business, arming potential extremist groups to destabilise areas of interest and all sorts of things! Damn us for caring about society. Ps. I would much eater live in a country that looks after it's people's, young, old, mentally unstable or physically unstable. Than a country litterally run by profit.
